Only problem I have is I have documents from old laptop that came up symbols but I think that has to do with going from Windows Vista to Windows 8 without having Microsoft Office.

Easy to install and lots of space

The design is sleek. The only knock is that the cord length that came with this unit is too small.

This unit worked very well. I have over 5000 pictures and over 1000 videos, and also small personal files in Word, Excel, and PDF. I think one Tera is a good size for backing up a personal home computer's data.
