I bought this to back up my info since my pin drive crashed and it is the best thing I could have bought! Great product!

For only $60, you can get a thousand gigs of storage. I highly recommend this to everyone who has files that they want to keep safe. Too often I've had to reinstall windows on a computer because of malware and as a result I've lost everything. But that was years ago. Now I use Ubuntu, but even still I sometimes I've had to reinstall Ubuntu because I got too excited in the terminal, and messed around with settings that I shouldn't have. As a result, I've had to restore my system and have lost files. Now I don't worry about that at all. I just back up everything to this external hardrive. On top of the fact that my files are safe, they are easy to take with me as the drive is very thin and small. It will fit into any bag or backpack without taking up space that is needed for other devices or chargers. As an Ubuntu user, I don't think this drive was made to work with Google drive on my machine - but there seems to be some cool features with this drive worth looking to if you are a Windows or OSX user and if you like Google drive. I am incredibly happy I bought it. It's a very good price and very good product. I recommend it!

I have 4 of these drives and they are great for keeping in a laptop bag, or for extra storage for your Xbox One or Xbox 360. They're lightweight and come in a few different colors. They're small and can be hidden away in an entertainment center pretty easily. I haven't had any issues with these drives at all.

Having my operating system go down on my previous 8 year old desktop PC (after 8 years), I am now a firm believer in back up my new computer on a regular basis. I needed a hard drive big enough to hold my entire music collection. This one is small, lightweight, and easy to use. I had to reformat it to work on my Mac (the Mac can read it as originally formatted, but you have to reformat it in order to write from the Mac).

I bought this device for my wife to backup her Mac Book Air. Although she is proficient with a computer she does not want to deal with devices that have a lengthy or complicated setup process. She was able to plug it into her USB port and click the "Time Machine" button in her Systems Preferences menu and was up and running. She was pleasantly surprised with how easy it was to start using it. So far it has performed excellently and the price for the device was also excellent. I could have spent 3 to 4 times as much for a comparable device and I'm not convinced they would perform any better. I have a more expensive device I bought a few years ago and from what I have seen this device for my wife functions as well as the more expensive one.

The external HD has plenty of space and is very easy to use. Love its compact size and how it is compatible with Mac and PC. I had a buddy load video from a PC and i can watch it from my Mac with no issues what so ever.

This is the third Seagate external hard drive that I have purchased and I must say that I think these drives are excellent. They are thin, relatively small, travel well, and offer abundant storage space. They are the ideal drive to use to backup important data and to use with laptops lacking a large hard drive. I have both 500 MB and 1 TB drives and they are the best external drives I've found so far.

I have fooled around with external drives a little in the past....when an extra 40 gigs meant a lot!! ha ha I constantly needed to manage space on internal drive and CHOOSE what I would backup to external. NO MORE. Got this 1TB USB3 drive and no more worries. More space than all my drives combined AND smaller than my smartphone...means I can take it with me easily and connect to multiple PC's/devices if I choose. Great product. Love Seagate !

I bought this cause of a program I needed and the ability to take it with me wherever I go. The 1TB was a great deal, specially since the program took a bit more than half of the TB. The hard drive is quick and easy, pretty much plug and play. Comes with a cable so you can connect it to the computer through usb. There's a light on the drive that comes on when connected so you know it's active. The hard drive is also very quite.

Our last external hard drive bit the dust, so we had to purchase a new one. The Seagate is easier to use and conveniently sized. The connections are firm, which was a problem with our last hard drive. With 1T of space, we have backed up 3 laptops with plenty of room to spare. If its longevity measures up to its performance so far, we will have a long and happy 'relationship' with the Seagate hard drive.

I've been wanting to get a reliable, compact portable hard drive. This Seagate model is the Backup Plus Slim and it can store up to one TB with continuous back-up. It also came with a bonus 200 GB of cloud storage on One Drive. It had a 4-star rating with C-Net. I would definitely recommend this product. I ordered online with in-store pick-up for fast, free delivery.

Got this to keep the clutter off my main drive. With a terabyte of storage, I can keep a ton of pictures, which I use to sell products online, and switch between drives during listings and still maintain ample room on my main for other things. It's small size makes easy enough to carry in your pocket. Reliable and efficient .

I love the compact design of this portable drive. I can easily carry it in my backpack when I travel for work without adding any weight. It has sufficient memory for my needs. I don't care for the dashboard software. It's not useful unless you subscribe to the Seagate back-up service. Also, just a warning to always properly undock. I had the previous model that corrupted when the cord accidentally slipped out of the USB port. I've yet to recover those files.

So when I bought this, I believe they were offering 1 TB of OneDrive space at purchase. So I ended up getting 2TB of storage for the price of $60+tax. This little thing is small enough to fit into your pocket (which i hope you never have the need to do), runs quiet, and runs fast. The set-up process is extremely easy for both Windows and Mac just involving a first time .exe/.deb run of the set-up file already on the device. This is very helpful because I've ran into many problems where people thought their externals didn't work just because they were missing the correct drivers. Not much else can be said about this device that hasn't already, it gets the job done, looks great, and performs as described. If you're looking for a quality external portable drive, this is definitely highly recommended.

Love this thing. It's small and compact. Super easy to use and 1TB! Perfect for saving all my precious memories and it made it so easy to transfer all my files from my old laptop to my new one in one shot. And it was CHEAP!

Very easy to use. I had a Seagate external hard drive in the past and it lasted for years until I dropped it. This one is sooooo much smaller and holds more data. I was able to back up all of my data from the other external hard drive and my laptop in no time at all.

Read tons of reviews before purchasing this one. Hoping it lasts! Using this as another form of back up for my digital photos so I can free up space on my computer. Super easy to use! Lots of storage space on this hard drive. Nice design.

This is perfect if u need a portable fast way to store things & the storage capacity is great. The drive is another Seagate triumph I can rely on. The price is a really good value & very easy to set up & it's so small..the size of smart phone or a little bigger...
