My kids needed the extra storage space for their blender software. So far, it has worked wonderfully. If you have a large number of pictures, video or files and you do not want to bog down your computer, then this is what you need. It was very easy to set up and it is working fine.

Seagate is known for it's hard drives and the new Seagate - Backup Plus Slim 1TB External USB 3.0 holds the companies it's reputation well. Cons - Good, Fast, Sleek and looks good too. Pros- Additional warranty from the company would have been good instead of just 2yrs.

I was in dire need of transferring my desktop files to something a little more convenient. It was easy to use and it'll be great for me to transfer my larger files to my new MacBook.

Seagate has always been reliable backup drive. The drive is dependable has good transfer rates.

This 1TB external drive has been simplicity itself. Plugged it into the USB port, told windows to use it for File History, and haven't had to think about it since. Very small footprint on the desk top.

This item is great for backing up your computer and storing the many, many pictures we all seem to take and do nothing with, but we have them safely stored on this external hard drive.

Have had this drive for threeish months and it still works. So, I'll recommend it until it dies.

Work with no issues on my old computer, staff at the local Best Buy assured me I wouldn't have any problems and they were right, now I'm ready to get out with the old in with the new! Thanks

For someone who is frequently traveling and works off a laptop often this external drive is perfect. It's light/ small easy to carry around. Haven't had issues with it and it pretty easy to operate.

This is an excellent portable hard-drive. I use it to back up my MacBook Pro laptop computer once a week. It's simple and easy to sync with my time machine. Wish the USB connecting cord was longer.

I've got three pcs and one mac, downloaded all my stuff on all my computers to this hard drive and then tried to access it the next day. All my pcs would not open any files saying I had infected/damaged files. This was a surprise to me since all files where inspected and worked fine. I went through everything the company said to do and more, everytime I ran tests that took forever it turned out all files were fine and there was no reason I could not open the files on any of my three thinkpads T43p computers. If I plug it in to the mac all is fine, no problem is I need it to work on my PC's! So now I'm back to flash drives..... This is not what I signed up for!!! I talked to many people at the company and did many, many emails and nothing helped. 100 Bucks down the drain.
