I bought this yesterday after my mom's external hard drive didn't work for my new Mac and everything synced perfectly. Only issue is figuring out how to get the 200 free GB of One Drive storage to attach to my existing account with OneDrive. No real help guides on the website so I emailed Tech Support and am waiting on an answer.

Easy to use and very lightweight. Priced right for the amount of storage. We were able to plug and backup (once we found the Windows backup app).

Look around for a portable harddrive and stop at beatbuy and they were very helpful. Best price, slim, easy to carry and pack.

I am really enjoying this hard drive. I recently went on vacation and needed an external hard drive to drop the photos from my DSLR on to. This drive was awesome as it was already set to work on both Windows and Mac which Was great since I use both. I didn't have to format the drive and it was a simple program install to work on the Mac. I still am not even halfway full and I shot pictures in raw format which take up more space. I took tons of pictures. Definitely recommend this external drive.

This is an easy to use external hard drive. All you have to do is plug it in and follow the on-screen directions to download/back up any or all of your files and other items.

I bought this portable external hard drive to backup 2 computers. I have it plugged into a USB 3.0 port on my wireless router, and it is working quite well. I like the small size, and there were no problems with setting it up.

We were looking for storage that is compact, has capacity, and works with Apple, (macbook), all fit the bill with this model.

Simple enough item to review. Bought this for my mother who travels for work. she always has her speeches stored on her laptop but it is good to know that if/when the laptop fails, she will have an easily accessible backup.

This external hard drive is 1 terabyte and very affordable as well. I have been using it since I obtained it and it has worked fine, no hiccups or issues. It's great for music and movies; better to drop a bunch of them in your external rather than bog down your internal hard drive with a bunch of media files. In my opinion, having an external hard drive these days is mandatory for myself....If you like your downloading like me and want somewhat of an endless box to drop them in, this is for you

I am soooo glad I got this external hardrive to keep things off my laptop (which has limited space). It is much easier to use than I expected. Much worth the $$ I paid for it!

More storage than I could use!!! Great backup!! Took me a couple of hours to download all my files and photos but well worth the time and price to have this added security!

Im kind of shocked this little thing can hold a TB of data. It was a little bit of a pain to make it work at 1st because I use a mac but after 10min. I was good to go. It works fast enough and I have a backup just in case.

Great storage space, convenient to fit in carrying case

I own several Seagate USB external hard drive of different capacities from 500 GB to 2 TB. All of them have worked flawlessly including the 1 TB drive that I am reviewing here. USB 3.0 is about 5 times faster than USB 2.0 and is well worth the small extra cost – 5 hours versus 25 hours to back up my data (with 3.0 I can do a full backup overnight while I sleep; with 2.0 it takes more than a 24-hour day). It's a true "plug and play" device. Virtually no set up is required – just attach the cord, plug it in, and you're ready to go. The drive appears as a new letter on your computer screen. After that, to back up directories and files, it's simply a matter of "dragging and dropping." Alternately, since it's a physical drive, you can save files and directories as you would to any other physical drive. The build quality is excellent. I switched to Seagate after being repeatedly unhappy with various performance and compatibility problems with other brands. It comes with useful software for automatic scheduled back ups, as well. One trick: I keep the 1 TB drive hooked up at all times, have created a directory called "Recent BKUP," and save my work to that directory every few minutes in real time. That way, should my computer crash, I always have a copy of my latest files on a portable file. I also use this as the target drive for a daily automatic scheduled backup.
