I purchased this external hard drive to store files from an old computer I was retiring until I could review and decide what to keep. Worked very well and its use will be expanded for other back up storage.

This is a great portable, external hard drive with high storage capacity and light and slim, perfect for the go!

I am not too tech savvy, but I am able to use the Seagate to access the files on it from a previous laptop hard drive. I am confident that I will be able to back up additional data from a different laptop.

My laptop required support from Geek Squad which required them to back-up my laptop before work could began. The external drive was purchased at that time. I continue to use my external drive with ease.

My stepson did his research on the amount of space he needed to add an additional drive for his XBOX. We got a great deal for it. Thank you BestBuy.

One portable terabit to use as backup storage!! I would say considering how large the physical size of the hard drive, it is a lot of space you can use for storage compare to some of by other storage drives.

After a little bit of internet research I was able to set this up and back up everything on my computer. I feel so much better knowing everything is backed up, and the product was really easy to use!

I had a windows 7 laptop going bad and wanted to store all my files. Just plugged this in and copied over all my folders and files. I'll use it as an extra external back up drive on another machine later.

I ended up at the Apple store to find out why I was having difficulty connecting the Seagate hard drive. The tech had to change from internal settings in order for the computer and hard drive to communicate. Once that was fixed, I had no problem connecting the hard drive to the computer for back ups.

All the Seagate portable external hard drives are sleek and I've never had one fail on me before. They are all the same size/shape so everything matches.

First, I use this for Time Machine on my Mac. Second, I use it to store files to share between my Windows PC and Mac. No complaints so far. It does all that with no problems. It's compact for easy mobility. I referred to Youtube to figure out how to set it all up for my needs.

It was simple to use and easy for me to do something that I screwed up with discs many times. I am happy to have it available now whenever I need it.

Needed an external hard drive that would work with USB 2.0 with various older version of Windows (XP, Vista, ect.). Worked on all my computers without any issues. Have always had good luck with Seagate drives.

Basically got this unit to replace WD Passport that died. Software installed easily and windows 7 recognized the drive easily. I have not used to transfer large volume of files yet, but so far works well

I bought this hard drive to back up all my photos, school work, taxes, and other important documents because my old iMac was displaying a lot of errors and the pin wheel of death. I had no problem transferring all my data onto this drive and performing all necessary backups that I needed before turning over my iMac for a complete overhaul with geek squad. Got the iMac back and was able to re upload all data. It is quite, simple and gets the job done well.

I love the slim form factor. The connection is fast. The automated backup is fast, easy to setup and maintain. For the price, this is a great drive.

Needed to backup an old computer before we junked it. This was the perfect option to do so. Just plugged it in and a couple clicks later I was backed up and the computer was out the door to be recycled.

Not too much to say about this product. I was worried it would work with my Linux distribution but I've had no problems connecting to it from Xubuntu. Just plugged it in and it was ready to go. No software to install or anything like that. Nothing complicated about it. Plus it is small and unobtrusive.

This Seagate portable HD is very slim. Fits nicely with my not so large laptop bag. I had a difficult time using as a back up for my Mac though, I wanted to transfer my vids from my Canon camcorder SD card. But it couldn't be read by my Mac so I just used my PC instead. It was simple....
