I've had good experience with Seagate products so I didn't hesitate in making the decision to purchase this unit especially since it was on sale. I got it at a good price and it works as well as I'd have expected.

I had heard that "certain" brands had a high failure rate, but I've never had any problems with Seagate products. I purchased this drive several months ago, and I have had no problems with it. I highly recommend it for backups.

The user guide supplied online did not explain many steps required by beginners. Seagate does not give the customer service no with the papers supplied in the package. The phone no is not available online search. It took me 2 weeks to find no.

When you need extra space Seagate is my first choice.

I have used SeaGate drives for years and got this one to save System Restores. It works perfectly and gives me peace of mind that if something were to go wrong, I can restore my entire system in no time.

I needed a drive for my MacBook back up and this works great. I reformated it to be clean for use with Time Machine. The initial backup takes an hour to complete, but subsequent backups take minutes. Definitely Recommended.

Prepackaged backup software does not want to backup entire disk. When configured to do so cannot manage incremental backups, requiring total re-image of the disk...very tiresome. So useful only on an occasional basis. Rely on the cloud instead

I am not a computer geek, but one told me I needed a backup for my daughter's computer. I bought this, installed it easily, and now feel good about her data. If I can follow the instructions, so can you.

Small size is nice and problems with drive to date

Simple backup program helps manage data. Backup and restore process seems a little slow depending on how much data needs to be moved. Prepare to wait a long, long time.

I had one already for backing up my desktop. I bought two of these for each of my laptops. I like the different colors, makes it easier to remember which one goes to what computer/laptop.

Price is about the same as you would find anywhere else and I've always found BB to be pretty comparable anyways. Got this product on a whim because my WD 2TB one broke down. Seagate plugged right in and worked perfectly. Nothing to complain about, it's pretty slim and not too bad for the price.

back up, back up, back up. I had computer crashes where I lose everything. I even had recently a thumb drive that went bad and I lost everything. Therefore, I now back up on the external hard drive.

This drive is great in reading and writing. I have a lot of files including movies on it and once plugging it into my Samsung BlueRay DVD player, I am able to watch full movies without losing quality.

I wanted to give something special to a friend for his birthday and I didn't want to buy the same old bottle of perfume or spirits. This was an excellent choice and my friend was very happy with it!

I bought this for transferring my pc info to my mac, thought it would be easy enough to just plug it in to the pc and then move it over to the mac without formatting. I guess I needed to because its not opening the files on my mac. Obviously I should have read the instructions first. Otherwise its all good.

I bought this brand & model specifically because the reviews and description said it can go back-and-forth between a Mac and a PC, and it's doing that just fine. On the Mac, it's very fast, too.
