It does what it is supposed to do. That's about it.

not happy with their software for teinstalling files.

Had a little trouble hooking it up, but I had someone come in to set it up to run automatically. Runs weekly, and as far as I know it is working just fine. Says back up is complete.

Got this drive for my brother's Wii U. It works great and have had no problems with it. You do need a split USB cable for it to function properly with the Wii U though.

I picked up a couple of these and they come in handy when thumb drives cannot hold the data that I need to do a quick back up or file share of sensitive information.

I love this external hard drive! I store all my files on it. It is a great buy and is very durable.

Online Downloading is complicated and troublesome.

I have had this product for two years and it's worked great. I used all the available space and needed another to archive my work, so naturally I would purchase the same product.

I already have a Seagate but the one I have is full, but only 500 Gigs and I needed a new one so I got this larger one which is going to meet my needs, just fine.

The backup drive does not work with Mac as desribed

Works great with mac book pro. Since Apple products don't have extra storage capacity I bought this to store videos and pictures instead of using existing hard drive.

I hear from my tech people there are better versions

Switched to Seagate backup drives after two of four WD drives failed. Seagate may not look flashy but they are dependable. That's what you want to preserve your data.

Had an external drive go down. Fortunately able to recover data and divide it between Cloud & external drive. Looking forward to having data readily available again.

Bought this to backup my laptop and thumb drives, and have no problems with that. I did err when installing, though, and set it to backup on some schedule. Would like to change that, but in my own ignorance, I am sure, have yet to figure out how to get that done.

This portable hard drive was exactly what I needed to transfer all of my data on an old computer to my new one. It will now serve as the backup for the new one.

This backup drive has given me peace of mind knowing that my files are backed up and can be recovered very easily. Thankfully, I haven't had to use the recovery, yet.
