This product performs perfecctly for my needs. I back up all my photos on external hard drives. It is small and very portable which makes it perfect to travel with me on vacations. This way I have all my photos backed up in case something happens to my laptop. My best external hard drive yet. This is my secong Seagate. My first one is still dependable and is my 1st backup for my photos.

I had a CPU crash on my old computer. Had to get an IT guy to get the files off of the hard drives and he needed somewhere to put them. Went to Best Buy and found this on sale. I just bought a new computer with 1T of memory, so this will provide a 100% backup and I won't have a problem if I have another CPU failure. Set up easy, backing up continuously with no issues.

I needed a drive that had lots of room for digital video and that would fit in my computer bag. This one did the trick, and performs quite well, even running the video off the drive. I'm sure I'll be using this drive when I'm on the road and need lots of space for photos, video or music files.

This item shipped in a very timely manner and has been superior operationally since hte purchase. It is not only serving my needs it is superior quality, easy to store and take with me. I keep all of my files on it and plug it in whenever I need to access them. Its ideal for anyone who wants to keep and store lots of photoss and older documents stored. I love it.

ard to go wrong here. If you are using this as an external drive, this product has 2TB in very small space and is USB powered. The drive itself only takes 0.7-2.3W to operate! On Mac OSX 10.9.2 running the included Paragon NTFS driver, I was able to see write rates in 8-10 MB/sec with USB 2.0. On a Windows 7 Machine I averaged 18 MB/Sec; 14 MB/sec running the latest 8.1 update. I pulled the drives from two of these units (instructions below - photos to be added soon) for use in my laptop. This product is the only way I know of to obtain the 9.5mm tall, 2.5-in 2T Samsung Spinpoint M9T drive(s). Note: the 2TB version has 1 drive, the 4TB has 2 drives. After installing them in my laptop (has 3 internal HDD bays with SATA connections, 1st bay has OS, apps, etc. on 500GB SSD), I tested data txfr speeds. I moved 1.5 TB of data from one drive to another with average speeds of 194 MB/Sec in Windows 8.1. Laptop now has 4.5 TB of hard drive capacity.

Economical, small, single-cord external drive, and works great.

I purchased this Seagate 1 TB drive to replace an older Seagate drive that I purchased about 10 years ago. I have not had any issues with any Seagate drive. This one has USB 3.0 capable and is backwards compatible with USB 2.0.. Nice thing is this drive is smaller then any of my other drives including some with less capacity. Price was very good.

I bought this on black Friday at a great price. I was looking for a small but good external for my laptop that I use at work and home but now I just have to take this external and I'm good the best part is that is so compact and light weight. I love it and haven't had a problem. I haven't figured out how to back up my phone but I'll figure it out.

This external hard drive is great for it's price. 1TB, fast transferring, small and thin just what I was looking for. I was debating whether or not to get a hard drive or a flash drive when I saw the Seagate was going for the same price as the SanDisk 64GB flashdrive. Seagate hasn't failed me before so I didn't think twice in purchasing it.

I needed something to back up important files to as well as download lots of photos from my cellphone. After speaking to a knowledgeable (as usual!) Best Buy employee, I chose this Seagate Back Up slim. It was so easy to use & I love that it is sleek/small enough to carry in my purse if I travel. Highly recommend this product & the price is right!
