All the space I will need for years. Works great with my mac. Easy to configure and set up. Also compact and barely noticeable.

This external hard drive is perfect. The size is about the same as a deck of cards but a fraction of the thickness. This is a very thin yet great hard drive. The 2 TB is strictly plug and play. I used it for my Xbox one for game storage. I plugged it in, the Xbox recognized it immediately and the option to format it popped up. Took about 30 seconds to format. I transferred my game data without difficulty. No need to read the instructions. I will be buying another for my MacBook Pro soon.

I been looking at this hard drive and couldn't decide on the 1 or 2 TB. I picked up the 2TB based on the low price. The unit is small thin and very easy to use. Just plug it in and it's ready to use. I use it for my Xbox one system. I plugged it in and it asked to reformat it right away. It took a few seconds and then was immediately recognized. I save all my games and data on it. I still have lots of space after 8 games. I will definitely buy it again and use it for my MacBook Pro.

Seagate's new Backup Plus drives leave those without physical backups of their most treasured digital media without an excuse. The Backup Plus drive is affordable whilst still boasting a minimum of 1 TB of storage. The drive, which is fully USB 3.0 compatible, makes quick work of images, videos, or any other irreplaceable files. It also works great as a true 'portable' hard drive, with an ultra-slim profile and compatibility with both PCs and Macs. The only con to this drive is that the USB cord should be disconnected from the socket before wrapping the wire around the drive for storage. The socket easily bends, leading to improper connections which can cause data loss and/or damage.

I wavered between the WD and Seagate brands and decided to go with Seagate! Being a portable unit, it is a very small unit which can be easily transported! It's very simple to use, just plug in and start transferring data easily! The 2TB unit has ample space for almost any data you want to store! This was exactly what I was looking for, something simple like using a flash drive! Best Buy had a great price on sale which included free delivery and received in just a few days!

My Content drive on my macbook pro has been getting full for a little over a month and I needed a way to get more storage without having to lug around a external hard drive everywhere. last november seagate unveiled the first 9.5mm 2 TB 2.5 inch hard drive. unfortunately the only way to get that drive is to buy this external drive and rip the internal drive out of the enclosure. DISCLAIMER, removing the bare drive voids all warranties. after using the drive normally for a week to make sure it wasn't going to fail on me, I ripped the drive and installed it into my Macbook. The computer is now reporting 2 TB of storage and has been running without a problem. The only con i have of the drive is that its not the fastest drive in the world. this is not really an issue as my apps and OS are on a SSD so this drive is only used for media storage and so on. average drive speeds are in the 80-90MB/S range. this is fairly quick for a 5400 rpm drive but far lower than a 7200 and SSD. I would highly recommend this drive for anyone looking for more storage that is reliable and very portable.

Seagate - Backup Plus 2TB External USB 3.0/2.0 Portable Hard Drive is an excellent way to not only backup your files, but it does it automatically when a file is changes and even backs your files up to Cloud storage making your documents available while away from your desk. It's is sleek and small enough to carry in my purse without taking up too much space. The case is very durable and the price for the space, 2T, was well worth the value.

This drive is exactly what I wanted. Very portable, very fast, and it works on my Mac, PC, and the USB port for my TV. I can download files directly to the drive instead of my mac, then plug-and-play videos on my TV with the drive. There is however one important note: THE DRIVER FOR MACS DOES NOT WORK ON NEWER VERSIONS - This is an NTFS drive, which usually only works with windows (and some televisions). This is the best format for the most part, however macs cannot write to it. Luckily seagate put a driver on the drive that will allow macs to write to it. The problem is, the driver is too old for my new macintosh. Luckily, the fix is VERY easy. Go to the download section of Seagate's website and get the NTFS driver for Mac OS. Restart your mac and it can now write to the drive, along with PC's, and again some televisions. With the new driver, everything works perfectly. Files download quickly to the drive, then work on the television. I highly recommend this drive!

I bought this in order to upgrade my hard drive on my PS4. It was a much better method than just buying the hard drive on its own. It cost less than just the standard laptop 2tb hdd and it comes with a casing! Opening it to remove the HDD and replace it with the old one was easy. My PS4 now has 2tb, works great and I have a spare 500 gb external Hard drive to boot. Much better idea than having to buy a hdd solo.

I use it for HD video editing on my laptop, and it never fails! The sleek design allows me to edit while mobile. I'm editing 2 1-hour lecture series on it, holding the raw footage, graphics, and finished product on the 2 TB of space. So far, it looks like it has ample space for all the files I need, and it runs smoothly. The blue color is a nice touch to easily distinguish it from my other portable hard drives.

This is a great product to backup all your documents, photos and all your important files. Just unpack the drive, connect to USB port and start backup all your files within a minute. Runs with USB power and less weight. This drive is easy to carry and is easily fits in your pocket. This connects to both USB 3.0 & 2.0 ports. But USB 3.0 port is faster then USB 2.0. You can use this drive both in Windows and MAC OS. But you need to reformat it before using in different operating systems. Finishing is good and LED will give you the status of the hard disk. Overall its a very good drive for backup and also for daily use.

I bought this for extra storage space for my boyfriend for our PS4 and it is exactly what I was expecting! We have been using it for a few weeks now and haven’t had any issues. Everything on the PlayStation runs smoothly. It was easy to set up and is a great value. My favorite thing is the sleek design. It is so small and thin, you don’t even notice it’s there. Love it!

High capacity, compact, reliable, and competitively priced back-up and storage..

Got this a few months ago now with the intention of connecting it to my router for network storage of films music and docs. Found this HDD so light and a great size for a 2TB HDD that I keep with me on my travels as extra storage space for all that stuff we love to haul around the world and once in a while need to access. It was priced low for the size of HDD I guess they've lowered the price of these as SSD are beginning to appear more and more, get one while they there.

This is a nice compact drive with USB 3 capability making it fast and easy to use. It comes with user friendly software and has an affordable price. I like having the piece of mind knowing my family pictures are safety backed up.

This item was a gift for my daughter who is in art school. She has a PC but the school uses Apple for art projects. This drive was compatible for both. She wanted one with a usb (standard) and portable which this one is. It is powered through the usb and does not need a separate power cord. No problems so far! I would definitely recommend for the price (Under $110).

This product is great for the price. My laptop was close to filling up and so I picked this up. My laptop only has USB 2.0 which kind of blows, but I'm sure it would be faster if I had 3.0. So far, I've put close to 10,000photos; 4,500 songs; 150 2Gb size movies, and other items... it hasn't even made that much of a dent! And now the laptop runs smoother.
