I bought this hardrive as a backup for all my photos. The small slim size makes it handy to carry around and fits neatly anywhere. Every time I plug it in to my computer it shows up in no time and works really fast. The 2 TB storage is great, giving you plenty of space to store many files. This product is definitly a great buy and Best Buy had the best price.

This is probably the cheapest 2TB Hard drive to get that is realiable, please keep in mind that it's best to format this hard drive to FAT 32 for the PS4, when using it the first time there are videos on YouTube that will do step by step instructions to help you with this process and installation is really easy when done formatting the hard drive. All in all this hard drive saved me a bunch of money vs buying a bare bones hard drive which cost more for some reason. If your a PS4 user remember format to FAT 32 and be gentle when opening up the casing of this hard drive also the moment you open this warranty is voided so like I said be gental and enjoy the expanded space

This hard drive is a great slim size while capable of storing a lot of data. Easy to use. Great for backing up or to use between home and office.

It's hard to provide a rating for a hard drive, when these items are renowned for suddenly failing at the most unexpected of times. With that morbid worldview out of the way, I am so far very pleased with this purchase. The Seagate drive is portable, works as advertised, and attractive as it comes in a variety of colors. It was also cost-effective, as I saved a few bucks by ordering a generic one rather than one that is specifically intended to work with Macs; all I had to do was reformat the drive at the beginning.

This external drive is very small, fits in a shirt pocket. It is powered by and operates by a single usb cable. No additional cabling is required. Inside the unit, the actual hard drive is a standard 9mm drive like in most laptops and notebooks and "can" be used as such as it has the standard sata connectors there....as expected....I have a half dozen of these units and I've NEVER had a single issue with any of them.

Bought for my son to backup his laptop. Seems high quality and is quite small compared to my other mini hard drive. Software install was a little tricky, but with a quick google online, we were able to install it. (Even though he was the administrator on the computer, it kept saying that he had to be the administrator to install it. Turns out that he had to "right click" the install folder and click "run as administrator" to get it to install) Otherwise, the backup program is simple and intuitive to use. Money well spent.

I have several of these, which I use in a layered backup scheme. Extremely reliable, perform well, are compact and easy to use.

Great portable external hard drive with 2T of storage space and low price. I paid that much for the old 500 mb that this replaced. Plus easy setup, small size, and backward compatible for USB 2.0 so I can use it on my old computer too.

Good: it's small, metal and fast. Bad: I bought this hard drive because I had a PC but then bought a MAC, I needed a hard drive that would work for both systems but not have to be reformatted to transfer data. This hard drive states that you do not have to reformat to use between these computers. I spent 3 hours on the phone with tech support because my PC, even after downloading all the software and following step by step instructions, would not recondnize the hard drive. I had to change settings in the computer that are meant for an expert. Still it would not work. The reason being, these hard drives are specifically formatted for MAC, the PC won't even acknowledge them without REFORMATTING for a PC specifically.. Which if you had any data from your MAC loaded it will be deleted. Mind you that they have hard drives labeled specifically formatted for MAC.. This harddrive is the one that specifically states for easy use between PC and MAC with no reformatting. Then you will be told you cannot use the software which is included, you have to drag and drop, which is easy but defeats the purpose of including software for the specific harddrive that is set up for easy use between PC and MAC. Lastly, there are no set up instructions included which inform you that you will need to go into the Internet to get the actual software for the hardware. End result: It does what I need it to do, and it's fast. But I nearly returned the thing because it took 3 hours to make it functional. I know my way around a computer and am quick with them, but tech support literally had me changing code in the computer operating system.

I bought this item for upgrading my hard drive in my PS4 (from 500 GB to 2 TB). It is a compatible hard drive for the PS4, you just have to pry apart the casing (enclosure) to expose the drive. If you use a guitar pick (CAREFULLY) you will NOT bend the flimsy metal top on the enclosure as you can use your old ps4 drive reinserted into the enclosure for a 500 GB external drive. You pay for a 2TB drive, get it in your PS4 and use the 500 GB as a backup on your PC, Works Great!!!!

Needed a backup drive for our MacBook. Item was well priced and has worked out well. Compact size and nice look.

I was able to use this external hard drive and swap it out with the current hard drive in my PS4. If you are careful removing it from the casing (I used a very small flat screw driver), I was even able to use the old 500gb PS4 hard drive as an external hard drive.

The compact size is great, it is my second one just in a larger capacity of storage size. I have had much better luck with Seagate lasting than WD backup storage products. WD had lasted year just after warranty expired on two separate products. I have had Seagates over7 years without a problem and thus I chose them again when a bigger storage backup drive was needed.

I love all the Seagate external hard drives. Not only are they small but work very well for my needs. When I think of Seagate I think of quality. These are very reasonably priced at Best Buy and that is another reason I have shopped there for multiple Seagate Hard Drives I have one dedicated for photos, one for genealogy, one for machine embroidery designs and yet another for backup of everything. I would highly recommend these not only for my family, but also my friends.

I purchase this as I wanted to get my music and movies off my computer hard drive and watch them on my regular TV and from eating up all my storage space. I purchase this for less than $70.00 on sale. I cannot tell you how happy I am and how well this drive works. I am so glad that I got the 2 TB version as I still have tons and tons of space left for other things and it is great to be able to take anywhere I go on vacation if I want. Highly recommended.

I needed extra space and wanted a small external drive that was inexpensive. This one meets my needs completely.

I bought this external hard drive when I went from a PC to an iMac. I was able to back up my PC & transfer my data to the new iMac. Seagate support was excellent answering my questions. After the transfer I did need help reformatting the hard drive for the iMac. Now it works great with Time Machine for back ups. I'm impressed with how small it is & how easy it is to use.
