Great portable hard drive. Use it for my Xbox one to expand it's existing memory. Hooked up flawlessly. No issues to report of.

Bought this drive to backup our laptops. I was really surprised at the size -- small!! The laptops have legacy USB3 and are backed up with Acronis True Image 2016. Backups run fairly quick. The 4TB also let's me keep a 2nd backup copy of 8 computer Windows 10 Pro OEM images in a ready portable as well.

The backup drive allowed me to store many movies and pictures to free up hard drive space which was much needed. Easy set up and the small size for 4 TB is amazing.

I like it. It's big enough for holding my data and has been dependable. Don't pull it out without ejecting it via software first.

This drive works great with Windows 10 and is a great capacity for reasonable price. Runs virtual machines directly from this disk with no noticeable performance issues. Also, the large size allows me to use this as a backup drive for my computer.

Strong portable usb 3.0 hard drive. Feels great to hold and packs nicely when put away for travel. Incredible small physical for 4TB!

Efficient & perfectly portable for extra storage! I always need extra storage for all of my files while on the go. It was important to me to have the largest TB available in a portable form. It's very durable as well. It's compatible for Mac however, I had to get help from Apple to format it correctly before using, however it was a simple fix. Lastly, I like the new shape of the hard drive. It's thin, sleek, and square. I feel it's really a great 4 tb portable HD that is perfect for my needs.

The compact case with large capacity makes the perfect drive for swapping data off-site. I can easily attach to a server without any power needed, duplicate data and get a copy off-site with minimal effort.

You cannot beat the amount of storage for this size. And the price is good, too. Great deal for anyone looking for a truly portable hard drive with enough room to store everything you could ever need.

This drive may not be the fastest out there, but I challenge you to find a small portable drive with more capacity, much less the same capicity for a lower price. I have had a series of failures with brand new portable Western Digital drives, I've never had an issue with Seagate portables. Just remember, they don't last forever, so plan on migrating your data to a new drive every 3-4 years (or sooner based on usage and number of hours they are left spinning).

This drive is small enough to be carried with my laptop and has proven to be handy and reliable. It's quiet and easy to use with plenty of space for my storage needs (movies, audio, etc).

Small external hard drive but very fast access speeds and easy to store/ carry. Best part is the fact that it does not require an AC adapter like most other hard drives do. Great price too.

I couldn't be happier with the product. It's fast, is a stand-alone USB storage device (runs off computer power), has massive storage (4 TB), is stable and I got it at a great price.

Thanks to BestBuy price-matching, I bought this drive from one of their local stores. This drive has worked well for me thus far. I have copied quite a lot to and from this drive without issue, and with satisfactory performance (including instances of copying larger individual files, and also instances of copying thousands of smaller-sized files). In my experience, this drive hasn't gotten hot under heavy-use either (relative to other external HDDs I've used), which can be, generally, a good indicator of potential long-term durability (for electronics, at least). This particular drive also only requires a single USB-port to transfer data, while simultaneously powering the drive itself (some cheaper drives use a "pigtail-type" dual-USB cable, which are a pain).

Small size makes it easy to toss in the bag and go. Large storage volume makes it a great way to take everything along and still have room to backup the laptop for safety.

Needed a large capacity external drive with a small physical footprint and no separate power supply. This Seagate external drive fit the bill perfectly.

snagged on impulse. The good thing is that it's powered via USB. But the drawback is perhaps the speed. Granted, this is using up to USB 3 for data transfer. However to fit within the powering spec of USB 3.0, the drive cannot run any faster. The drive's purpose is to be a backup drive. Thus far, it is serving just that. A 4TB capacity is good for a drive this size. And it removes the necessity of having to have an extra power outlet in order to power the drive. Do yourself a favor and buy a drive of this size. You may never know when disaster strikes and you lose everything (which almost happened to me).

This portable hard drive is easy to transport. It does not require an extra power supply like my desktop hard drive. It provides enough space for my movies and games.

Flawless performance to date with plenty of room for family pics, movies and recordings. Fast and easy startup once connected. Great unit so far!

I needed an extra Hard Drive for backing up my external drive as well as one for mobility. The Seagate is very fast and durable in a very handy package without the need for external power . Now I can take my entire library of files on the go by just plugging in to an available USB slot on my laptop. I also purchased a padded camera case to protect it and store the USB cord.
