Bought my son the 500GB Xbox One for Xmas last year. Shortly before Thanksgiving it ran out of space and he had to constantly un-install some of his games in order to play others. Knowing that I plan on buying him at least a half dozen games for Xmas, I picked up this drive @ a great price and gave it to him as an early Xmas present. The install was easy & straightforward. As soon as I plugged it into the Xbox, the console recognized it and it was ready within a minute. The compact size and not needing a separate power supply (its USB powered) made this the ideal solution to expanding the storage.

I got this memory backup to go with my Xbox one. Very simple and easy to set up.

on receiving my storage device I simply plugged it into my computer, and it was immediately available. I had run out of storage on my desktop computer. I was able to transfer several TB of files to the device, allowing me to continue working faster

This is a handy external hard drive; it's compact, doesn't get too hot, and is readable by my Mac (running Sierra). The only drawback is that it has a short connecting cable that disconnects fairly easily from the USB port. If you're using it with a laptop, the Seagate is sort of dangling off to the side and can become disconnected when you set the laptop down to stand up. In my case, this caused the Seagate to crash (as most hard drives will if they become disconnected while in use). Only my older Macbook, which is running an older version of OS X, can read it now and that's very sporadic. Fortunately, I had most of my files backed up and didn't lose much. I bought a new one and am keeping it taped down to my laptop desk to prevent the same thing from happening again, but other than that design issue this thing works flawlessly, is fast, and almost silent.

Bought this to use with my Xbox One X. Works perfectly, and took less that a minute to have the Xbox One X console auto-configure this hard drive. Added MASSIVE storage for a low price :)

This is a great compact portable drive. I got it to store all of my iTunes and iPhoto libraries on my Mac Pro. It was plug and play.

I picked this drive up a while back, after my son and I pretty much filled the 1 terabyte drive on my xbox one. I was amazed at how simple it was to set up and use. I literally just plugged it in, and the xbox recognized it. A few minutes to format (I was expecting it to take for ever) and we were up and running. We have been using it heavily for several weeks now, and it has performed flawlessly. I seems to be just as fast as the internal drive, with tons more storage space. This is a wonderful option for those who have too many games on their xbox!

A gift for my daughter who is a PR major with emphasis on video production. Allows her to easily carry large video files for editing in group settings. We did a lot of research and followed the reviews. We haven't been disappointed, but it's early.

This is a great hard drive with a TON of storage space. The compact size is a huge plus, and the backup software made it easy to get it setup.

I've used a number of different backup drives, and this one is the best! It's small and easy to carry (I use a camera case, which fits it perfectly) but super fast and doesn't require a separate power source. I would definitely recommend this!

This little hard drive offers lots of storage in a compact size. Easy to use and offers a great program to allow usage with both Mac and Win.

This is a good, quick external hard drive with plenty of capacity. Nice performance, very compact. It's exactly what I was looking for.

I purchased this hard drive to use as a desk top extension for my Mac at work. It was plug and play right out of the box. Simple, easy, and exactly what I was looking for. I highly recommend Seagate products and this hard drive in particular.

I had the Seagate 1TB product before, and really liked it. I had the opportunity to increase to 4TB with this Seagate product, so I did it. I then gave my mom my 1TB product, since her needs are less than mine when it comes to file storage. One issue I noticed with this 4TB product (which I didn't experience with the 1TB product) is that I can't easily do a software "Eject" before physically disconnecting the USB cable from the Seagate drive. Maybe it's something with my computer and not the drive, but I'm not sure. The other issue I had was when I first connected my 4TB Seagate via USB 3.0 to my computer, and then it basically only offered me the option to format the drive. Instructions for the drive are not helpful, as they give the impression that this product is plug-and-play. I performed the format, but probably wiped out any software that may have already come with the drive itself. I don't know if it was a defect of this drive product versus if I exchanged it for another of the same product, but since I'm using the drive with a 3rd-party software anyway, the lack of Seagate's Dashboard software doesn't affect me. In any case, the Seagate Dashboard software is available for free from the Seagate website, so I can get it any time if I ever choose to go this route.

4TB in this little unit, great for my Macbook Pro. Love how you don't need an extra cord and a power outlet, just plug the USB into your CPU!

It able to store a good amount of info needed. It's Also portable

I am a photographer and needed more storage for my photos and videos. This thing is pretty small and can be taken anywhere. Love the product

In the tech world for many years. Have researched/purchased similar products before this purchase, not that other products aren't good, but Seagate tends to always real me in with their quality control, features and durable products.

I was in a jam and needed some extra storage in the worst way. That's usually how it goes with all of us needing a place for our growing media libraries. The cloud is great, but we still want to have that local access that we can take when we're not near wifi or internet access. That's what makes this hard drive so appealing. It is small and has a huge amount of storage space. It writes decently fast (there are faster ones out there for more money) and is really easy to use. I like it so far would recommend.

still loading it with files but it is a very reliable drive that I hope to be able to store all the data from the Seagate that is a powered desktop drive that is going out on me. But over all Seagate is very reliable . 755 of the external drives I have used are Seagate and still are usable today from the ones I purchased 10 years give or take ago.
