Great hard drive. It’s compact. Fast and reliable. 5gigs is a great size.

Great portability for a drive that holds so much. We have purchased three of them and have been really happy with them. We did buy protective cases to use when toting them around, which I think is definitely important if you want to be sure to keep it safe in traveling. But I would definitely recommend these and definitely be willing to buy more when we need them.

I bought this 5 terabyte portable Seagate external hard drive because it had the largest storage capacity in a portable external hard drive that I could find. That is the initial reason. I already made the decision that I do not want any more electronics that take up too much space. I want small electronics. My very first portable external hard drive was actually a 100 gigabyte aluminum Seagate and I am still using it to this day. It was one of the very first one's they made I think, and despite being well over 10 years old, it is still going strong. They make quality products. This external is supposed to be 5 terabytes but of course it is more like 4 terabytes and change. It has a very fast transfer speed and it takes up little space. It has a small footprint. When I buy externals I always format them and then to make sure they are not a lemon I put some initial information on them and then I swap them out between computers and see how they perform. I have found that most of the time if an external is a lemon it happens right away. So I only put a small amount of information on one and then see how it works. And of course I keep the copy of the original data to make sure it is functioning fine. I bought the extended warranty for this and I recommend that for anyone that has floors that are tile as these electronics are delicate. This thing is fast and does not bog down even my cheap laptop computer when transferring data.

It is a solid drive for a cheap price. I found it better than the other hard drives which are high in price. It is portable, handy and working great as expected.

We have purchased multiple of the portable Seagate drives, and when we needed to replace another of our older 2 TB drives with a high-capacity drive, we didn't hesitate to purchase another one of these. So far, we have three of these (a silver, a black and this blue), and all have been reliable. Hopefully, they will stay that way, but we are very happy so far.

It is so wonderful to be able to take full work jobs, photo collections, and even other media all on one drive on the go. We have multiple portable Seagate drives, and have been happy with every one of them, and this is even better with so much storage space. If it has the long life our other portable Seagate drives have had, then we will be very happy.

I have had this a few months now and love it! I love the color and design. It can hold a lot of photos at large capacity. Uploading photos are quick and easy. I have backed up over 1,000 photos at a time to it and it's done in a matter of minutes and saves me lots of time. Gives piece of mind that my photos are safely backed up.

I will have to update later. I have not had much of a chance to use it as of yet. But very happy with the quality, ease of use and size. Thankful for Best Buy's fast delivery as well!

Good quality external drive, no outlet necessary for power. Large storage space. It's perfect.

Got this drive a few days after ordering and it was a breeze setting it up! Just plugged it into the USB and that's it! Now I immediately have extra storage and this drive is super fast too!

I have the bigger version of this backup, sobwas iffy on the portable drive. Took a shot and couldn’t be happier. Works incredibly fast and seamless with my MacBook Pro.

I have 3 seagate external drives. I teach high school and do the school newspaper. We fill these drives with photos. So i got this 5TB. So far it's doing very well.

I got 4.87 TB after formatting as external storage. I would say good price and that will hold me till ps5 comes out.

This external drive is very fast. Adapt to your computer with no fuss. And I'm loving the storage capacity to backup my videos.
