I have learned over the years that Black Friday is the best time to buy additional hard drive storage. The 5 TB for $139 was this year's "best buy".

I prefer the Seagate Backup drives over the WD drives as I have not had any problems with Seagate as I have had with WD, such as lockups.

Excellent software, including free dropbox access. Nice looking-device. Will need more time to review its function but so far so good.

So far this device is working as expected. The USB 3.0 transfers are fast and the drive is running stable. I have no issues at this time.

Being able to switch seamlessly between Mac and Windows has proven to be invaluable. I later purchased an 8TB version. Great hard drive. I would have given 5 stars if the read speed was faster.

I use this as a working drive and it seems to do just fine. May be a little slower than a lightning hard drive but it does the job.

The backup program is easy to set up but hard to use. I may just end up doing manual back ups to it. the size is great for the money though.. A bit slow at times..

The drive is very quiet and fast. I have several drives for backing up videos and photos and it is the best at speed and noise.

Worked better than expected. Nice adittion of carbonite cloud saving Allows you to access your data in case of eventuality

Using hard drive for a total back up of all critical files. We have not seen any glitches or slowness from the drive. Works great.

Very fast for my needs, very good quality and dependable unit. I have been buying Seagate Hard Drives for years for that reason.

I used this on my Mac and PC. I ran into a snag during set up, but chatted with tech support and fixed the problem quickly.

Needed an external hard drive for video editing and production. This works great and is fast. Plug and play with no problem.

Connected with no hassle to my ps4. The only issue I occasionally have is that the connections are kinda lose so I have to go back and make sure they are snug before I can continue.

Seagate products are great! I've been using them for years. This time I just needed something bigger and the price was good.

I think this works better than the Microsoft back up. This will automatically back up any document that have been updated.
