Good bye space limitations. I kept having to delete games from my Xbox One and reinstall them later, so I picked up this bad boy on Black Friday and all my problems are solved. I ended up with an extra 4.5 TB of space after the Xbox One formatted the hard drive. Works flawlessly.

So far so good with this Seagate drive. I had a 3TB model that slowly died and I am dubious, but this 5TB is working as advertised. Only time will tell. Fairly fast and Mac and PC compatible right out of the box. Quiet.

like the price it's reasonable, for the amount of space. Bought 2 of them one for my xboxone to extend the storage space another for the over flow of my pic!! And disregard the other review for this product. Reviewed the wrong one!!

I bought this for my Xbox One, It works perfect. It will last a while because it is so big. It feels quality made and I am very pleased.

Great for backing up files. Is compatible with Mac computers which is a giant plus. From install to backing up my hard drive it was extremely easy to figure out and use.

It's a good drive for the price, but has issues moving across different Mac OS's. Sometimes it also delays when loading. Nice budget drive, but not good enough for a power user.

Hooked it up without any problems. The only complaint is how I only get 4.55 TB available from a 5 TB drive. Why do drive manufacturers get to use a different way to calculate memory size? Shouldn't they use the same calculation method that computer operating systems use? Despite this, it works well and seems to power down when I "eject" the USB cable which is nice since I want my drive to last for as long as possible and don't need it on all the time.

Seagate is a great brand, very happy with my Desktop 5TB External USB 3.0/2.0 Hard Drive. recommended

Little hard drive beat my expectations it's very quiet it's not all that big and it fits right onto my Xbox. 5 terabytes how can you go wrong? I've had it for about a month and I've had no issues it's very fast and my Xbox is running much smoother I would definitely recommend this!

I purchased this drive primarily for backing up my desktop data. I decided to use the Windows 10 File History app for this instead of the proprietary software. It took over 10 hours to perform the initial backup of 500 gb. By comparison a 220 gb initial backup on my laptop with my older Toshiba 2TB drive took 2 hours. The laptop processor, memory, and hard drive specs are comparable to the desktop so it was a mystery to me why the desktop back should take more than twice as long as it should to perform the backup and definitely set off alarm bells. I went back to BB and exchanged the drive for the WD My Book 6TB drive. I reran the initial File History backup in less than 4 hours. The proprietary WD backup took 1 hour so I am definitely glad I made the exchange. Get the WD drive.

Huge amount of storage. So much room for activities!

I got this for my PS4 and it works flawlessly took less than 30 minutes to move my entire game collection over I prefer digital downloads to physical disks so I need the space.

As others have mentioned there is a lot of data missing out of the box, but for the amount of storage you do get and for the price this one cannot be beat. Fast, responsive. No noise issues. Doesn't get as hot as I'd read others say. Overall a great drive.

Easy to plug and go, after installing a quick app then restart, my Mac worked fine without reformatting the drive on my own. Nice size and design.
