This product works great as a back up storage for my Mac. Only thing is, you'll have to reformat it for Mac (unless you bought the Mac version), which is the reason for a 4 star. Reformatting it is very simple and takes less than 5min. Got a great deal on this (major sale), so cannot complain.

Seagate 5TB good price, use it to do backups on server.

Plug and play couldn't get any easier. On the Mac, install the onboard software and that's it..... PC automatically detected... I can transfer this back and forth from PC to Mac with no issues. Loving it!!!

This is my 3rd Seagate 5TB drive. I'm self employed and federal law requires I keep 5 years of my work under penalty of death. I keep one drive in my car, another drive on my desk and there's a 3rd drive somewhere that I cannot divulge unless tickled mercilessly for at least 5 minutes. These drives are very reliable, but like books and exercise equipment, you have to use them for them to work. My 4 TB SSD crashed on me a month ago and these drives, plus the little voice in my head that told me to save that day's work, saved my patootie, um I mean data. Nuff said.

This HD was on sale and when I purchased it I was concerned if it would work with my computer as it is 5T. When I got it home and tried to transfer photos I couldn't. So I got on the phone with support and they had the issue taken care of in 5 minutes and I hardly had to wait on the phone! Great Service! Great Price! Great Product!

The back-up drive was a second back up drive and works perfectly. Just plug and use. Very easy for anyone.

I do a lot of video editing, I needed a portable HD to store the edited files with using the computer HD.

I bought this to back up my personal files along with my work files....couldn't be happier. All my personal/work files fit, and now I run nightly/weekly backups of my PC. Another good thing is I can backup my wifes iPhone 5 (pics and videos) and my note 2. Highly recommend, has good GUI for easy process.

The best thing about a backup hard drive is knowing you are protected. This Seagate drive keeps my files safe and you will forget it's there - until you need it. Good size and styling are a plus.

No problems so far. Very fast access and ease of use.
