Great option for the money. Drive works exactly as advertised and the price per MB cant be beat. I'm using it to back up all of my old photos and edited photoshop projects to.

purchased the product to back up some business data and send to customer. product is simple to use, priced decently, and worked as it should.

One thing everyone should know is these only format NTFS! No big deal Plugged it into my PC started offloading files from some of my drives that were starting to get full and it so far has worked like a champ.

I bought to hard drive for my macbook pro retina and it is extremely fast when directly connected I also have it connected to my airport extreme now and can access wirelessly very slow but definitely worth it

So far so good. I bought this item to work as my time machine hard drive. The install was a little more than just plug and play, but it installation was not difficult for even a novice computer user.

This is a great drive for those that needs plenty of storage at a reasonable price. The performance and data transfer throughput are great. Takes minutes to transfer very large files or many files over a usb3 interface. Love this product. It will serve well for the data backups.

This is my third Seagate HD. My first two WD HD both bit the dust without warning after about 3 yrs. My first Seagate is over 5 yrs and no problem, and my second is now 3.5 yrs old. Bought this one to replace both of my first two Seagate HDs as a precaution. I never want to be in a position to lose data ever again. This one is much faster (data transfer) USB 3.0 than the previous two. Finally, for the Mac the Seagate seem to work so much better.

Much quieter than my old drive and much bigger. Good value compared to others the same size and dimensions.

this is a very capable drive and for the price I do not think it can be beat. Very Fast data transfers. My only complaint would be that it is a little bulky but at this capacity I think it is standard.

For a simple to use and setup backup storage, you cannot go wrong for the price and the size of the Seagate.

I've had the 1.5tb model for a few years and it worked so good that I had no hesitation upgrading to this model. Does exactly what it's supposed to do. I wish everything was this easy and dependable.

Works great so far. Ive only had it for a month but its working as expected. Does not seem to over heat.

The drive has been reliable so far as a backup drive and afor photo/video storage. It's very quiet and the light on the front is not too bright or distracting.

I'm always worried that my precious files will be deleted or lost, that's why I'm really picky when it comes to my external storage hd.. this particular one looks very nice, sturdy, lightweight and easy to use. User friendly plug and play type, easy drag and drop files and fast transfer rate ( must be USB 3.0 compatible hub ) if you have large files videos / pictures that you want to keep for a long time, this is the one.

I checked with all the normal electronic places to compare prices and quality. I was unable to find anyone to beat Best Buy. In addition I was able to increase my rewards points by buying.

Easy installation. Instantly recognized by Windows 10. Software was OK, but I switched to Acronis for backups. Large size is more than enough to backup my main SSD drive and second internal storage drive. There is more than enough room to back up my laptop as well. Nice to have backups all in one place. This drive makes it easy. I haven't noticed any excessive or over heating issues. It just sits atop my case and does it's job.
