Great Hard Drive

Perfect for my TimeCapsule back-ups

It has been wonderful so far... works everyday like they are supposed to do... We are very happy with sound and heat since we have a lot of space to place it away from the iMac... Just a note: I completely securely erased(3x overwrite) the drive before using it will my back-up software and it was worth the 26 hours invested...

Great Drive

When it tries to launch programs from the drive, it moves a little slow. I pulled all of the important personal info off of my dying desktop and there's still room for another computer's worth of information on it.

Amazingly versatile as a media drive
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have this plugged into my wireless router which is only a USB 2.0 interface, but this hard drive still delivers in terms of flawless streaming from any device in my house. And once I get a new router with USB 3.0 capability adding media content to my drive and making backups wirelessly from my computers will be even faster! Runs quiet and works well.

was hoping for something better
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this external hard drive was not as interactive as others i have had. i have had western digital harddrives before and i would recommend them over this seagate product. the software was slow an unlike western dif=gital it doesnt show you the individual files that were copied so you arent sure what was copied. hard to see if files were copied

Lots of storage at a great Price
