I have not had any trouble, whatsoever, getting the hard drive to connect to any computer; which comes as a very nice change.

5tb external drive. Easy to setup and if you register you get 200gb of one drive storage as well.

I got a great deal on this drive, and when you think about how far along we have come from the hard drives of old this in a monster. 5 TB drive will hold all of our data a few times over, so I can make multiple backups. My wife loved the extra cloud space that came with the drive too! Bonus! I have been using it to go around and back up all my computers onto it, and then I will put it in our safe to keep it secure as well.

It works really great. Would like a bigger size hard drive for what I need it for.

This hard drive works well. It holds a lot of data. I have lost a lot of data in the past when an external drive failed. So I do not recommend using any one device for storing data. I use a combination of cloud service DVD, Flash Drives and other external hard drives for information that I do not want to lose.

Having significant storage space which will handle, in additional to my every day working files, the significant amount of personal photos and videos I usually accumulate is a real treat. This product is also flawless in terms of high speed transfers and accuracy. All this also came at a very attractive price.

Geek Squad put all my old hard drive information on the new drive and corrected the drive in my computer. Great job.

I love my 5TB hard drive. the speeds are optimal and I haven't had any problems for the 3 months it's been running.

Decent speed for an external drive, and large storage. Has not failed yet. stack-able shape.

Works perfectly, read a bunch of stuff on all sorts of external storage devices, and ended up choosing this due to price and value. A lot of places said to watch out for interference with Wi-Fi and other devices depending on where the storage device is located. I have not had any issues at all. Works great.

I decided against using the backup software that came with this drive, so I can't comment on that. Otherwise the drive is the perfect size, silent, and doesn't have all the bright lights other drives seem to use. I use it for backups and data movement between devices and it has performed flawlessly!

I switched from a Western Digital My Book because the one time I needed to restore a computer, I had a hard time finding the information. It did at least have a better dashboard then what the Seagate does. The Seagate doesn't give you a break down on how much & what type of information is backed up. For that reason, I'm dissappointed in the product.

Overall it is quiet. Easy to use and setup. It has automatic backup softwear. Also can be used as a massave cloud backup. Just need to download the apps to access the drive.

Was a little worried after reading other reviews, about the reliability of this model, but the value over ruled the reviews. I have had no problems with over heating or failure with the two that I purchased so far. I have had them about two months and both are working quietly and perfectly.

This is a great hard drive, I have all of my stuff backed up to this drive. I highly recommend.

Bought this as an extra backup for some other external hard drives. Works great. 5TB is a HUGE amount of space.

Drive said it could be PC or Mac but not able to get it to work on my Mac

I love the 5T memory. Stores and retrieves just fine. One drawback that I noticed is that it's a little slower than normal downloading data for storage. Not on retrieval though. The other drawback is the bulky (size) compared to the more compact external hard drives of the smaller memory types.
