I purchased this hard drive for my Xbox one and it worked like a charm. Problem free, I just plugged it in to the wall out let and then into my Xbox one after I had turned it on and got it to the storage screen first. My Xbox one detected it within seconds and configured it to work with the system. I was really happy. Been able to put over 20 games on one T alone. Very happy.

I haven't had a chance to us it but I have 3 others that work fine so I can't imagine it being bad.

This is a good basic drive for storage. I have many of them that see occasional used and have never had any issues. It is not a fast drive but since they are only for storage, it is not a big deal for me.

I purchased this as an external drive for my XBox One. Setup was flawless and easy. I currently have over 100 games and still have a tremendous amount of space left. The design is minimalistic and matches the consoles hardware. To this date, it works perfectly.

Alright, so I had so much data on my Mac prom having recently purchased a GoPro. I needed to relieve my computer from some memory. And so far it has been performing great. Although I had issues installing it to my Mac at first, I managed to use it after reading some online instructions.

This will last me a lifetime. I use this for back up and to store all my music and movies and this frees up my tower for better use. I highly recommend this to anyone that is worried about either space on their computer or saving any information that is valuable to them.

I had to redo Windows 10 and did not want to lose data. Seagate - Backup Plus Desktop 5TB External USB 3.0/2.0 Hard Drive - Black. I am very happy with this product. It is fast and saved me a lot of time and it has plenty room to download things needed to reload Windows 10.

It's been some time since I've bought a new hard drive and this is just a sign of how far we have gotten in terms of technology. I remember it wasn't long after the first 1 TB hard drive was produced and we were amazed by how much you could fit in. Now enter this monstrosity--5 whole TB capable of partitioning into different formats. I probably won't have any storage issues for a while.

Needed a large external HDD to back up my consoles, windows VM's, Macbook Pro, music, photos, etc. Still haven't even put a dent in the available storage. I chose the 3.5" as it won't be moved often, and laptop HDD's are just not as reliable in larger sizes unless SSHD.

Tested it out as an external using USB 3 it worked fine. I built a NAS box using OPENMEDIAVAULT so I decided to extract the HDD from the enclosure,(note removing the drive from the enclosy=ure will void your warranty)it is a ST5000DM000 inside. Works good in my NAS

This is the second Seagate external hard drive I have used to back-up the data from my PC. The first one died before my PC, thus I had to buy a new one.

I purchased this back up drive for my son for his xbox it has performed great

Bought this to back up my pictures. Could not get the software to work properly (maybe due to prior versions already on the computer from previous network hard drives), but I'm using the backup program within Windows to backup the files I need on a regular basis (only really concerned about the pictures I've taken). Appears to be working well for this purpose.

Really nice hard drive. Good value for the price vs size. Only fault would be, is that it is a little louder than I would like (not rocket engine loud).

It's big, fast, and reliable. It does what it's supposed to do. I'd recommend it to anyone.

A very good external hard drive. This is the second one i own. The other is a two terabyte.

Not much to say, yet... I connected it to my desk top and transferred files from one external hard drive to this one. Hopefully, it won't crash.

I have two of thees drives. They are great. They handle tons of files and really big files, fast. Only time will tell if they last but they well worth their cost. I use them in a graphics development environment and they can keep up with everything you throw at them.

I was looking for something that I could set up and not worry with to back up all my devices. This thing allows wireless backups to my iPhones's and iPad's for my family. I schedule daily back ups on my desktop and laptops and select the files I want. Super Simple!
