I purchased one of these about 18 months ago, perhaps a bit more recently than that. It's almost full and has been completely reliable, so I purchased a second one. I can't think of a better recommendation than that. Would buy again? More like, DID buy again.

Drive offers ample space at a good price. 200GB Onedrive sto rage is a nice bonus. This is a 5900 RPM SMR drive, so it's not blazing fast but it is more than adequate for archive usage.

So far so good. Backup for all my devices stored in one place for ease of mind. Easy installation and the optional scheduling of backups was impressive to me and just what I was looking for.

Good drive so far. Many negative Seagate reviews out there. Always make redundant backups.

Plug and play set up (altho needing it's only power source kind of sucks) Works great, haven't had any problems using this. I use this as an external hard drive for my Xbox One.

Good choice for an external drive with high capacity. Worked as soon as it was connected to USB3 (Windows 7). I already possess an external Seagate 3GB of which I am satisfied ( 1 year old and still in use).

This is probably my fourth or fifth Seagate Backup Plus and they run perfectly. I haven't bothered using any of the included software (because who needs it?) but as a drive, it's solid.

This is a great external hardrive to get when you have to get a smaller space for your videogame console so if ur looking to expand ur video game library deffinetly get this hardrive

This hard drive has ample room for pretty much all of your needs. I could add my whole music library (practically 1,000 plus albums), all of my digital pictures, and digital videos to this hard drive and still have lots of space remaining!

I got into the beta for the new firmware from Sony which included support for external drives. This works like a charm for that reason. No more delting games to make room for more.

For what I am using this for is storage for Music it works as described. I attached this to my storage server and have all of my music for my ITUNES server on this drive. It is adequate however, not the fastesr drive out there. Great for what I use it for.

I got this as an external drive for my Xbox One. It only took a minute to set up and works perfectly. New games download straight to this drive and there is no lag time during playback.

Massive space for 4K video storing, read/write speeds between this and PC is decent for smaller files less than 2gb. I usually transfer large files within 30 minutes (300gb worth)

5tb hard drive for under 200 dollars. I'm now able to fit everything in one place. A 3.0 USB connection allows fast transfer. Just plug and play.

I needed to clear some hard drive space and this external drive certainly does work. I can store videos and pictures probably until the day I die and not fill up the storage.

For the amount of storage this hard drive is great. With the USB 3 it is extremely fast on retrieving data.

A Great Deal of Storage in a Small Drive! Lots of Space for Movies and Music, etc. But 3 of my 6 Seagate Hard Drives have failed over the years, conviently after 2-4 years when they are no longer under warrenty.

If you just need extra storage it is a perfect unit. I would recommend getting a stand alone storage solution that would support web based transactions for even more usefulness.

I bought this for my Xbox one. I needed something with a lot of memory to be able to download games on my Xbox without using all the memory on my Xbox. This size was perfect for the price.
