Seagate have been much better than WD over the last 8 years or so for these high capacity externals. These are great.

I honestly bought this to crack it open and used it as storage. It's weird that this is more expensive then the standard HD

Very fast, easy to set up. Using on a Mac after I reformatted it with Disk Utility (you don't have to but it works better).

seagate and Mac equals a perfect match , and with this 5 tb hard drive you can back up files forever .. and must have .

There is a common issue with the properties on the files for those who choose to use this with a router or other indirect connections. It is easy to fix once you figure it out. **** Hook it up directly to your computer, make a new folder, and put all of your files within and you will have no problems. If you just put folders in without making a new one, first, then expect almost random problems with locked files that you cannot move, delete, rename... IF it does happen, reconnect to PC directly and you can use it as expected.

Works great for being able to load up a ton of games for my Xbox, so much room I can add additional other content too.

Good product for the price. Lots of storage space. I needed a power source that was 110/240 volt and this fits the need.

I've had it for a few weeks and have had no issues. Quiet, reasonably fast and you couldn't beat the price at the time.

This is my second time buying this item. I have always trusted Seagate drives and the only problem I ever had was when my drives were physically stolen 20 months ago. This drive transfers data reliably and quickly especially using the usb3 ports. The delivery service was faster than I expected as well. All in all a very satisfying tranaction
