Exactly what I needed

Knew I'd have to reformat it, but I didn't realize that there was a second partition. Almost missed it. Needed to use disk utility, instead of letting time machine reformat it, to catch and remove the second partition. Otherwise I'd have had a little over half the 5 Gb to use as backup.

Good drive, alittle noisy

It does work well, with a few exceptions.... Sometimes the drive will not mount, so I have to unplug it, then plug it back it. Beside that it is alittle noisy. Its not bad, but sounds similar to a computer fan going. Other than that, I am quite happy with the drive. USB 3 is a plus, and it is a clean looking enclosure, it doesn't have ridiculous lights all over it. It fits right in with my iMac.
