I needed a hard drive that would be able to hold a lot of data and this product was more than sufficient. It also gives you a reminder to back up your storage and tells you when was the last time you did so.

The Seagate Back up Plus for Mac is a great drive to use with Time Machine. Just plug it in and configure Time Machine and you are all set. Easy - just the way Mac is.

My Mac was completely out of memory and wouldn't even update the OS. I moved my movies over to this and now my computer runs great!

My data backup drive (seagate) has lived a solid life, but I felt like it was time to replace it before the drive decided to die. Plus, I can use the new one to back up all of my computers on one drive.

I purchased this hard drive with the main purpose of freeing up space on both my mac and windows desktop and laptop and wanted to make sure that both could use the same hard drive as far as data sharing was concerned. Before doing anything else with the hard drive I bought it walked over to tech center and had them reformat the hard drive to FAT32. I would have used the newer XFAT system but it seemed more reasonable to stick with FAT32. Im glad I did this because one, the tech center did the reformat in no joke like 3 minutes and second it is perfect for what I need it for. Moving lots of data from one OS to another seamlessly and very fast would definitely buy again.

super easy to install.. runs in the background... just what I needed for replacing my cloud backup with a hd direct approach.. reduced my backup time from 28hrs to about 1 hr... Perfect!

Excellent data transfer speed, faster than portable and pocket drives. Great for storage and works well with time machine. Plenty of room and solidly built. Overall a great buy.
