It works great. I'm on a Mac so I do have to use Disk Utility to reformat the drive; and never think about it again except to use it.

Works great for what I use it for. (Back up for multiple users). I have the silver model and it's plastic exterior looks cheap. But it's a back up drive I've hidden it. And it's so quite you don't even know it's there.

I was looking for a external hd for my mac and purchased this product. Just plug it into the usb port and turn on time machine and I am all set for backups.

I needed this for my Mac backups. And it was very simple to set up. Now I can update my software without having to worry about it wiping everything out.

Should meet my needs for present hardware for my next generation of hardware.

Purchased for my I MAC. This is a gem, just plug it in and go. It's that easy. No special programming, or settings. This will back up all my needs. Works great.

There is not a lot to review with an external drive. It either works or it does not. This works, didn't require a second mortgage and hold all I need it too.

Seems to be running backup constantly, but I suppose that's a good thing.

Had to purchase this to back up a desktop with a ton of music and 14k photos. Did it in a little under 6 hours. Great drive. Works as it should.

This 3TB external is just what the doctor ordered. This was the Mac edition and setup was plug and go.

This is a nice external hard drive for the money. I bought the 3TB for Mac, and am pleased - no issues. I don't mind that it has an external power supply - in fact I wonder if it might be better to not draw power from the computer. I'm sure that there are some high quality hard drives out there that cost a lot more, but I would, and will, continue to buy Seagate external hard drives to protect my data. I have a couple of WD units as well, and they also continue to give me good service.

This is a great deal and it enabled me to organize my photos and is compact enough to carry around in my laptop bag.

I bought the hard drive for my imac. The color was off and not a match for the imac color. The drive is not portable.

I love the 3T size. Plenty of space. I use it for backups for both my macs and a PC.

This unit is perfect for anyone that wants to use the time machine feature on the Mac to back up your system.

We use this mainly as a high def video hard drive back-up and are pleased with it. The only down fall is no thunderbolt port but otherwise really good.

The drive does the job, what more can I say?! The price was good for the amount of space. I use it to archive my files. Works with my Mac which is nice.

Very easy to set this up for my iMac. Has been in use for about a month now, and I have zero complaints.

I picked up this external drive because it was on sale, actually the black one was on sale but I got the white one for the non sale price just to match the rest of my apple setup. This hard drive has performed very well since I've purchased it. The UI (user interface) is very user friendly and does much more than most OEM hard drive software. Overall the USB 3.0 speed is just shy of amazing...the only thing I could recommend is a external thunderbolt HD or a Solid State drive both of which I am planning on purchasing in the near future

I bought two of these drives and we are using them to save audio recordings of our church services into. Using one as primary and the second as a mirror. Working great so far.
