I've only been using the Seagate Backup Plus Portable Hard Drive for about a month but so far it is working well. I was able to reformat it easily for my Macbook Pro and start using it quickly. I needed this mainly for my movies, comics, and music because the 128 gb of space that came with the Pro just wasn't cutting it for me. I thought I purchased this at a good price at Best Buy but now I already see other retailers are selling the same for considerably less which I'm of course not so happy about. But the product itself is tiny, very portable, and seems to work well. All in all, I am happy with my purchase.

so i needed to pick up an external drive that wouldn't break the bank and would be good to go on light work travel. this little guy fit the bill perfectly. with 2TB on tap and an overall size the feels just like a smart-phone it slides into my messenger bag without a problem and had about 1.926/2 TB usable space which was pretty good for me. I'm a happy customer

Got this a few months ago now with the intention of connecting it to my router for network storage of films music and docs. Found this HDD so light and a great size for a 2TB HDD that I keep with me on my travels as extra storage space for all that stuff we love to haul around the world and once in a while need to access. It was priced low for the size of HDD I guess they've lowered the price of these as SSD are beginning to appear more and more, get one while they there.

I needed a drive that was big enough to store some archived data but was physically small enough to be easy to stow away in a drawer. This drive did the trick. Windows 10 recognized it without any issues and then I was off and running saving data. No issues and worked as advertised.

I was looking for a portable external hard drive for our newly purchased Xbox One S and I found this one on Black Friday. It was on sale for a great price and identical (except it's white and not green) to the same Xbox specific green drive that sells for about $20 more. The drive is working great so far, although it's only been a couple weeks.

This unit is so small and has plenty of storage. The price was great too!

Works like a charm and plenty of storage for backing up files - photos/vids/docs/etc. Haven't had any issues and good news is the multi-device compatibility. First external I've purchased, quite satisfied. Mac users should know it works with TIME MACHINE to backup everything on your Mac, which is highly recommended. Overall great product.

This is a solid performing drive that only weights 4.0 oz, I am using it to put movies and tv episodes on so I can watch them on my tablet and notebook with both have limited space, this drive is a BIG 2TB, That is alot of storage for business, and personal items. It is a great drive, no issues, fits well in my carrying case for my notebook. Love it.

This is a nice little portable backup drive which has worked flawlessly since installed.I replaced a Western Digital external hard drive that crashed or failed after only 14 months use for backup purposes. I like the fact that this small little remote drive is portable with plenty of room to literally back up everything.

This drive is exactly what I wanted. Very portable, very fast, and it works on my Mac, PC, and the USB port for my TV. I can download files directly to the drive instead of my mac, then plug-and-play videos on my TV with the drive. There is however one important note: THE DRIVER FOR MACS DOES NOT WORK ON NEWER VERSIONS - This is an NTFS drive, which usually only works with windows (and some televisions). This is the best format for the most part, however macs cannot write to it. Luckily seagate put a driver on the drive that will allow macs to write to it. The problem is, the driver is too old for my new macintosh. Luckily, the fix is VERY easy. Go to the download section of Seagate's website and get the NTFS driver for Mac OS. Restart your mac and it can now write to the drive, along with PC's, and again some televisions. With the new driver, everything works perfectly. Files download quickly to the drive, then work on the television. I highly recommend this drive!

This makes the 6th external hard drive I have bought, Seagate is the best and this slim version is great. I collect everything, recipes, pictures, music & the list goes on. Each thing I decide to collect thousands of I buy it's own personal hard drive so I guard my little stash like crazy. You won't regret spending the money, besides the price is right,

Compact, easy to use and powerful. This amazing little external hard drive is just as advertised. Did my homework regarding best product for the value and this is it! The Seagate backup slim plus. Would and have recommend this to many. AND did my homework on where to purchase ... Best Buy really did have the best price by $10.

So far this external hard drive is working well and was very easy to add to my computer as a back up drive. I dont know a lot about hard drives but researched this one and purchased it based on professional reviews of the product as well as personal reviews by users. Its small and sleek and blends in with my desk area and other computer colors.

I bought this to use as external storage for my xbox one. The one that this same company sells marked for use with the xbox one and green in color is $10 more, but the same storage size. The setup and functioning is exactly the same as well so save your self a little money and buy this one. It is a better deal that the 1 T size model.

It's fast, stores my data and pretty reliable. The one thing that erked me was that it's default partition works in read only mode on my MAC. By the time I realized it, I'd already stored 500gig's on it, so it wasn't worth the effort to move the files and reformat. But do this beforehand if you work in a hybrid environment.

Very small and compact. Very portable. Great backup for multiple devices in multiple rooms. Also great for movie or picture storage. Plays well with Mac and PC. This is a replacement for the same model I currently have. I change out my backup/storage drives every 3 years even though my current one works fine.

Had no problems using this in my PS4 Pro after removing the drive from the external case (be aware though this does void the warranty) and went from having virtually no free space to having over a terabyte of available space. Highly recommend this drive to those looking for more space on their PS4 or PS4 Pro.
