Bought to ensure my photo storage was safe. Hoping to free up the space on my computer. it does the job well!

Was very easy to install. Now the PCs have storage and backup space. Also I can access the storage off site.

Great once you get it set up, really confusing set up process and the seagate customer service is worthless.

The set up takes a bit to fully get going but once it's up & running works great & easy to use from there. Also my bluray player is able to access it to stream HD videos I have recorded & stored to my HDTV

2 TB for the price is a food steal. Great reliable brand too.

I purchased this as a simple home network external drive and it works great. Very simple and east to manage. Recomended to anyone who doesnt have an extensive knowledge of home networks to begin with.

This drive is handy if you want to share files with others and don't want to use an external service like dropbox to do it. Also it's a network drive, so multiple people on the local network can use it at the same time.

Set up and running in less than 15 minutes. Works like a charm.

Seagate Central drive is a quick way to add external storage to your home network. It works with my Win7 and Win8 desktops as well as my ASUS Transformer tablet. Easy to setup and add to your wireless home network. Plugs right into the router.

Doesn't seem you can use on your Mac for time machine. So it's used for junk now!!

Got 2 of these and installed them, unit wasnt being identified initially on one unit becasue its firmware was older than the other, this was perplexing since the first unit installed ok, second one was a bear to get online but finally after seeing firmware versions were different did manual update and it worked and was id'd.

Good for family out of town to login and see pictures.

I wanted a back-up storage system that would be easy to install. Since I have the Geek Squad 'membership' they installed it for me. I just had to plug it in when I got home. So it was super simple!! Exactly what I needed with the guidance of one of the Geek Squad members who helped me to make the decision.

Works through wifi. Easy to transfer all files from my DELL desktop with plenty of room leftover. I had thousands of pictures that transferred without difficulty.

Easy to install and works great. Our server crashed and could not be repaired fast enough to meet our needs. We bought and installed this external hard drive in less than 3 hours. Up and running again!
