USB 3, so read and write speeds are quick. Works right out of the box so no installs or software required. Only con is that like most external drives, it has Seagate files/software loaded on to it taking up space, but a simple file delete takes care of that.

This is an excellent storage option for all of your photos, documents, and songs that you just never want to lose. I save photos on the Cloud as well, but even that has been glitchy. So before I decommissioned my old computer I saved all of my priceless most magnificent pictures of the most beautiful grandson in the world to this portable hard drive, and I have a lot of pictures. Took only a few moments and all is well.

I had been wanting a small compact external hard drive for a hot minute and this sure fitted the bill. I like it because its small, fast and plug and play so that it can be used on the go without having to install any drivers.

Very easy to setup and use. Small and lightweight. Good value. Didn't work to copy my Dish recordings, but that was because Dish's equipment malfunctioned and then the HD died. I'm looking forward to using it on my new DVR, to save my recordings.

It works great, and is perfect for backing up docs and pictures from main computer (just in case). I don't need full back up, but it is capable. Don't need 1 or 2 T., and you can use drop and drag (which is so easy) so you don't back up things you don't need. It also works with windows 7 if needed. I always trust Seagate!

I cloned my Mac Book before I did a clean install. Once the install was completed it was easier (for me) to move my files over without bringing the old settings to the new install.

Purchased because I ran out of storage on my x1. This was SUPER easy to setup. Plugged into USB port of x1 and the rest was history. I’ve loaded 3 full size games and have 65% storage left!

Almost great.... I knew 500GB would meet my needs but forgot that some in the "industry" define Mega and Giga as 1,000 not 1,024. Had to do some squeezing to get everything on.

Thus product is very easy to use and the speed is great. The only thing I don't like is the square edges. It makes it hard to find a case it will fit in.

I wanted a hard drive storage device besides a "back-up" drive. That way I can save certain items without backing up every thing. I works great.

Bought this for my Xbox One to have some more space for games. Works great and would buy another

Needed to do a factory reset, backed up all my files in one afternoon and now use it as external storage instead of loading everything back into the computer. It's fast enough that I can run games off of it.

I have three of these. One at work, two at home. Very easy to plug in and move file on and off and in between the units. Just plug in and go.

My son attached this to his ps4 and now has plenty of memory.

Seagate has always been a long-lasting brand and easy to use. This is the second one I bought, the other is 10 years old and works great.

I needed a backup for my work computer, and this was juts the right amount of storage for a great price. Easy to use and small enough to store in a small space.

This external harddrive definitely comes in handy for backing up or even storing all your computer files.
