replacement for an alien ware hard drive

Drive was uninitialized and unformatted

Connected drive with SATA adapter to two laptops and 1 desktop. Drive not recognized. Chats with 5 technicians at Seagate provided no resolution. Phone calls did not help. Seagate states their drives are formatted exFAT. This drive was not formatted at all. Similar experience with a 2TB Seagate drive, same model. Prior experience with Seagate drives has always good. Hence my recommendation. Hopefully they did this issue.

Totally stores files

Can't really say if it's any faster than a regular HDD. Just wanted something to add to my 256GB SSD on my laptop. Would have done the 2TB if it was available. Easy to install and works great so far.
