There really are no instructions with it besides plugging it into the xbox one. The port that they tell you to plug the hard drive into doesn't make the xbox recognize any hard drive so the port next to the remote control sync button works. After that you'll have to go into your setting, go to the device, and then format it for games. After that it is smooth sailing. I love this hard drive. Now I don't have to unistall games when I get a new one.

I got this for my daughter because she ran out of space on her Xbox 360. She has Xbox Live Games for Gold where she gets 2 downloadable games for free each month for her Xbox 360 with her membership. She could not download any of her free games because she ran out of space, so I needed to find a solution for her. This is the perfect solution for her! The external hard drive is thin & small & fits easily next to her console. It holds 2 Terabytes which will give her plenty of extra room to download any games! It connects easily to her Xbox 360 with a provided USB cable. It is works with the Xbox one too!

Easy to use. Plug into USB, and get extra storage! Didn't give full rating because although the default was changed to store the game data on the external HD, it seems that the games still need to download to the internal, then can be transferred to external. Had to transfer each game to the external one-by-one. Took a little time, but still fairly easy. There may be better or more convenient ways to get the data onto the external HD, just was not aware.

This hard drive was great for me because it had so much storage (2tb). I ran out of space on my xbox 360 and decided to buy this as an upgrade. All my data transferred fine and the hard drive has been running great! I am extremely satisfied with the hard drive!

The seagate 2tb hard drive is a good choice if you are in the market for a product like this. I chose this hard drive over another brand do to the fact that it was already formatted for the Xbox one and is very easy to connect and use. Plenty of space as well, and they do have larger drives if needed.

2TB for a great price. Stop juggling app installs and deleting games every time you want to play a new one. You will likely never have to delete another game. And.....you can take it with you and play your games from this drive on another Xbox. Awesome

Love this hard drive. Filled my other Toshiba hard drive up(1tb), and felt at first like I was being forced to buy more storage space again. I was pleasantly surprised though. I got this on sale at Christmas time and it was that badly priced, and I now have double the storage for about the same price. Highly recommend!

Just got it today, hooked it up to my Xbox One, did the format and away it went. No problems. Chiming right along and now have tons of room for more games which is just what I needed. I trust Seagate drives... it's primarily what I've always used. Very trouble free. Couldn't be easier to hook up and use on the Xbox One. Plus, format and play. If you use it on a computer, etc., you don't even have to format it. Powered via the hookup so no extra plugs required. Very happy with it as I knew I would be. Seagate does a good job!

Best thing I ever bought for my xbox 1. Instant connect and 2 tb of hard drive space for all your games.

I bought this because my 500GB Xbox one was getting full. I bought it plugged it in and it updated and works great. The xbox recognizes it and it just adds them both together like it is all one storage device now I have a lot of room. It also works fast and there is no lag at all.

This is a great alternative to paying out the nose for an upgraded Xbox One that has half the drive space. I originally got the 500Gb console, only to realize it only had about 300Gb available for games - and the games take up a TON of space. After my first 6 games I was maxed out. Picked up this external drive and all my space worries are gone. It was a bit tricky to get formatted and set up properly, but once I got it working right everything was seamless.

If you are looking for something really compact this is for you.. It is so much space available in the little compact device.. it saves space too, because it is so small yet it has so much space for lots of games, and game downloads. I highly recommend it..

The storage space is phenomenal and still room available. Finally I can keep my favorite games without having to burden my hard drive and slow up my gaming. My cousins and I can now share and play my games without having to carry an XBOX One from house to house.

Large size offers ample storage for all your games. Set-up is simple and so far so good. It's a pain deleting and reinstalling games as my HD is so small on my One. This fixed that issue. Picked it up on sale. Would do it again in a heartbeat. Worth the $100.

This is a great product to extend the storage of your Xbox one or one S! The transfer speeds of the data are fairly fast and the hard drive is reliable I highly recommend this product to anyone who is seeking more storage for their Xbox!

I have a ps4 and upgraded my HD to 1.5 TB. You have to have a flash drive, download software and you loose everything. This you plug in, Xbox one recognizes it, formats and asks if you want to move games and install on HD and that is it. Get one

Having this extra storage is great. Theres plenty of room, i believe my 1tb xbox was able to save almost 50 games so having double the space is more than enough for a long time. Also super easy to install and transfer games.

I'd been looking to buy an external hard drive for my Xbox one for a little while, and had been reviewing a few options.
