I have had Geek Squad replace hard drives in two of my laptops, and each time they recommended this Seagate hard drive. So far both hard drives are working great.

I bought this hard drive because the laptop hard drive mechanical malfunctioned and could not recover anything. The new hard drive was simple to install and accepted the OS with no problems.

Good replacement hard drive for my ASUS laptop. Unfortunately my hard drive crashed 2 weeks after my one year manufacturer warranty expired. This hard drive was a replacement and seems to work well, I've not had any problems with my computer since it was installed.

I have several Seagate external jobs. I was glad that this is the one that was selected by the Tier 2 consultants as I moved through the process of recovering data from a bad hard drive and caput mother board. Plenty room left for other files. Good and portable.

Even though it was my first time replacing a hard drive in a laptop, it was so easy. Instructions were clear and concise. It's been in the laptop for about a month now. No issues to report. Works like a charm.

i bought this per geek squad recommendation when my mom's hdd failed and needed service. this was the replacement drive and it was installed for me. no problems yet, and its still running!

I needed an upgrade and Best Buy agent I met in the store recommended I get the Seagate - Momentus 500gb Internal Serial Ata Hard Drive For Laptops. It was simply an excellent choice.

AM SURE THE HARD DRIVE IS GOOD. HOWEVER, I WAS NOT TOLD I HAD TO DOWNLOAD WHAT I ALREADY HAD ON MY OLD HARD DRIVE OR WANTED ON MY COMPUTER. I WAS TOLD IT HAD ALREADY BEEN TRANSFERRED TO THE NEW HARD DRIVE. I HAD TO GET HELP OUTSIDE BEST BUY.

Brought my computer in to Best Buy because it was not working. Turns out it was the hard drive and so far so good. Let's just hope and pray the hard drive gives me alot more years!

I have had good luck with this product with minor issues. I have used this product for many years and it is rare to have a failure. I recommend this product to any who need a new hard drive, and will use this product again in the future.

My computers have crashed a few times over the years and I always run to Best Buy and pick up a Seagate hard drive, because they are so easy to install. They are normally cheaper than the competition also.

I bought this drive to upgrade my 40 (!) GB PS3 HD. It seems to be one of those leftovers from a prior model year so I was a bit ambivalent about paying $59 for it, but is cheaper than current models. It works well and I've had no problems with it so far.

Not my first Seagate and it won't be my last either. Whenever I upgrade a drive in one of the household laptops I always choose Seagate. They have always been very dependable and are an excellent value.

I guess 70.00 was a small price to pay for a hard drive. I thought I needed a new computer but the geek squad told meal like needed was a new hard drive. Everything works as it did. Thanks geek squad!!

I notice a small improvement but there isn't the full boost of an SSD. It was nowhere near as expensive though. The performance is about that of a 7200 rpm drive but doesn't use quite as much power. Not sorry I bought it but there's no miracle here.

Had to purchase a new harddrive for my laptop. Wanted to upgrade from 250GM to 300GM. The store only had the 500GB...purchased it on sale and used rewards points. Very impressed with the performance.

This hard drive was a replacement for the current hard drive in my laptop that was going bad. It was easy to install but I did have a few issues when I was trying to load all of the drivers. So far I haven't had any issues with it working properly.

Easy to swap out, great price, great value, I swap HHD EVERY 3 to four years, never lost any data and easy to swap than try to recover from faked HHD, I call it cheap insurance
