    I was initially very excited to get this item, and on the first day downloaded several movies, photos, and music to this hard drive. These items were broadcast to my iPad flawlessly and initially I was very satisfied. The issues came when I tried to play a HD movie from this hard drive. After several attempts, I was unable to play back the HD movie on my iPad. I therefore went to the Seagate website where I found that this particular model is unable to handle the bandwidth required to broadcast an HD movie to my iPad. A true disappointment since a majority of my movies are in the HD format. The next day, I retuned this item to BestBuy.

    I use the hard drive a cloud back up in a secured room and the WIFI penetrates the room so I can have a secure backup. Well done.

    Went to Hawaii and took loads of pics. Bought the hard drive to store them after taken (i.e. Upload from camera's SD card). I could not keep the hard drive connected by WiFi to my iPad mini nor to my Sony a6000, thus could not upload pics for storage. There were no computer stores at Hilton Waikoloa. Had to cross my fingers that I would not run out of space on my SD cards. Big disappointment. Works fine if connected directly by cable.

    I wanted the wireless feature so I could automatically back up several computers. Wireless feature did not work at all so I returned the product.

    I purchased this as a wireless backup hard drive and it performed ok at first, however, over a few weeks, I lost connectivity - access to my backups, and eventually was unable to connect via wireless or usb. It was returned. I'd trusted the Seagate name for awhile, but was disappointed with this product overall.
