I saw this movie from the beginning to the ending and it was very funny. I am a true fanatic of comedy movies and this one made my face in pain of too much laughing. Thank you very much Best Buy, yours truly, Laura Perez.

Got the first Exotic Marigold Hotel movie for my wife, just watched #2. A great movie at home, with popcorn.

A lovely take on how as we enter our golden years and that there is still much for us to discover about ourselves. And what we can share with the young who are about to start out on their own adventure. I very much enjoyed this movie filled many of my favorite actors and actresses.

The 1st one still reigns supreme, but everyone is back, plus Richard Gere. The story picks up where the first on left off and is very well done.

Really good movie! Excellent cast and story. Even if you if you did not see the first movie, you will still really enjoy this movie!

The first movie/book was recommended to me by a library patron when I was still working as a reference librarian. I loved the book and liked the first movie. While on a recent vacation to Canada, this movie, the sequel, was one of the movie choices on my airline. I started it but was unable to finish it before we landed in Toronto. I tried again on the way home, but still needed to watch the last 30 minutes. My local library had too long a waiting list, so I decided to purchase it and am so glad I did. It is a movie I can watch more than once since it ties up a lot of loose ends left by the first movie. It has an incredible cast, all of whom bring something to the story. The characters show the downside of aging but also show how life can be an incredible journey if you are open to its possibilities at any age. This is a very positive, uplifting movie and a joy to watch.

Sequels can be hit or miss, but in this case I think it's a hit. The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel differs from the first in that it is a little more serious though the dry British humor is still there and Dev Patel still gives an amazing performance as a slightly hyperactive, impetuous young businessman. If you enjoyed the first movie, I think you will enjoy this one as well. There is more character development and we see the characters thriving in their environment. Obviously, there is an attempt to open a second hotel but it isn't the main plot of the movie. I do think it is helpful to have watched the first movie to understand who everyone is and the dynamics of the relationships. You would miss a lot and I don't think you'd rate this movie that high. I did love the ending!

If you haven't seen "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" you should! And if you did see the first one, you should really enjoy the second one. The movie looks beautiful, sounds wonderful, it was a joy to watch. I really enjoyed getting to see the characters that I became very fond of from the first movie. It was good to see them again, and to learn more about them. You get 10 different choices of language to listen to, special features like filming in India, Returning to the hotel, The cast and others. I'm very glad the movie was made, and I think you'd enjoy this disk if you purchase it. And not only that, you get a digital copy as well!

If you enjoyed the first Best Exotic Marigold Hotel than you will enjoy this one as well. The movie follows up where the last one ended and now the hotel is looking to expand. This prompts a prospective buyer to have a hotel inspector rate the Marigold. If the movie could get rid of the Sonny character (and all of his antics) it would be a top flight movie. The older cast is remarkable and worth watching. The movie only falls when Sonny is in the forefront.

How amazing is it that a film about British retirees living in India could launch a franchise? Yet that's exactly what The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel did, and now we have a sequel, The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. The original cast, director and screenwriter are back to continue the characters' adventures with some new additions in the forms of Richard Gere, David Strathairn and Tamsin Greig. Alternately fun and poignant, The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel is a true gem. No superheroics required.

I loved the first movie, and was happy to see they came out with a squeal. I was not disappointed with this sequel (as I have been with other squeals). The blu-ray edition has a beautiful video transfer, and although not an action/thriller, the audio track was most enjoyable and very full sounding. I am happy I purchased it and added it to the library next to the original. While younger children may not have much interest in the story-line, it is very watchable for most any age.

When you view a Movie Trailer it always shows the best scenes from the movie, and its aim is to entice the viewer to purchase. I usually don't respond to gimmicks. This time, I did purchase the video; and to be frank, I was glad I did - its really a super movie, with a great cast that the whole family can watch. Best of all, you won't be disappointed you decided to purchase. Great location shots, in a beautiful country make this movie a long term keeper. I'm saying, it a double thumber!
