There’s so much love and attention to detail in this mini console that it even surpasses Nintendo’s offerings. Pros: Feels just like it did when I was a kid Good game selection that has titles from nearly every genre Excellent emulation Small touches like main menu music composed by Streets of Rage Composer or when you switch the language, you get that regions rom. Controllers have cords that actually reach my sofa Cons: Notable games missing. Why not the entire sonic series, the entire streets of rage series, the entire phantasy star series etc. Not really a con, but make sure you look at the games list and see if these games are for you

Been waiting for this mini console to be released for years, it is excellent built, controllers are awesome the emulation top notch by M2, yes there is a mall lag in audio but that is the norm in all mini consoles. If you liked Genesis back in the day you won't be disappointed! A must buy to Sega Fans, retro gamers and collectors!

As an owner of several mini consoles and mini arcade cabinets, this product is fantastic. It has the true look and feel of the 1st generation Genesis console that I know and love from my youth. It comes with a great library of games and the 1st generation controllers are a nice touch as well. They use a USB connection so you can even use them on your PC if you'd like. The fact that the games are being emulated on software from the parent company of the console makes a huge difference when getting into these types of units. I've had a lot of fun with it and would love to see Sega do something similar for the Saturn.

Finally a Genesis mini console worth your time and money. This is NOT one of those terrible AtGames retro consoles. The controllers feel just like the originals and the emulation is done very well. This little gem has some really great (and otherwise pricey/rare) titles, including: Castlevania Bloodlines, Contra Hard Corps, and Gunstar Heroes to name a few. Would have been nice if they included the 6 button controllers for the US version as it would have made Street Fighter 2 and Eternal Champions more playable. Highly recommended.

This is a great mini console. It's small that it doesn't take up much space. I like it has games from back in the days of the 80's. It has 30+ games from Sonic the Hedgehog to Streetfighter. You just plug it into an hdmi port of your tv and plug into an outlet and your ready to go. Sega is great. Im pleased with my purchase.

This is a pocket sized version of the Sega Genesis and it is friking awesome! There are a bunch of games included within the system to make things sweeter! The HDMI cable is included along with two remotes. This throw back is a must for any gaming fan or anyone who just wants to have a great time for sixty bucks! Get one!

The Sega Genesis mini is absolutely fantastic. The menu is great and features a variety of different display settings and brand new music. The game selection is outstanding (save for a sports game or two since the Genesis was so known for its sports titles) and the emulation and controller are both top notch.

I had a Genesis back in the day and this not only looks like a mini Genesis but the reset, power, and volume buttons all work like they did on the original console. Granted the headset volume button is just there for accuracy but it’s a nice touch. Console contains two three button classic controllers with an option to add a six button controller separately for the few games on the system that support it granted it’s not necessary to enjoy all of the games in this collection. In terms of the game selection this is where I think there is room for debate. Overall the console includes a good sampling of games with most of them well known that have appeared over the years on various collections and platforms. There are a couple of rare and unique games on this system that make up for some obvious classic genesis games that many feel should have been included. Overall, a solid effort and a far better representation of Genesis than anything AT Games put out.

Enough is enough, said Sega. If you want something done right, do it yourself. And that's what they did. This is the best version of the classic Genesis ever made and the best mini console period. With 40 games + 2 import games, this console will keep you entertained for months. This is especially good to help keep you occupied during these challenging times. If you grew up with the Genesis you would love reliving these classic games, and I mean some of the best in the library like Sonic the Hedgahog, Street Fighter 2, Castlevania Bloodlines, Comix Zone and others. If you haven't played any Genesis games, you will also enjoy this unit and see what it was like when your parents were video game nerds back in the days. Most importantly this unit does not come with those crappy side games that past units contained, just stricktly Genesis games. You also get two 3 button controllers (6 button sold seperatley) and easy to connect cables.

Great mini system. A great variety of games. Only issue is that it only comes with 3 button controllers but you really need a 6 button one for Eternal Champions & Street Fighter. So you’ll have to shell out another $20 for one.

Just awesome! Great overall package and build! Solid game selection and menu system, though, we will always want more games. Great that they included 2 controllers! Highly recommended for the game enthusiast!

Shipping was fast and packaging was not damaged. The gaming system is very small and lightweight. The set up is easy peasey. I have wanted one of the retro gaming systems for a while. I missed out on the original Nintendo, then passed on the Super Nintendo when I had the chance to pre-order it. I'm glad I waited for Sega Genesis! This console has 42 games, including Tetris (my all time favorite game). There are quite a few games on this console that got my husband hooked on gaming many moons ago. LOL! I can't keep up with my husband on his gaming p/c, however, we do hook up this console for both of us to play together! It's more my speed. It's a nice little unit. My adult kids enjoyed trying it out too.

I'm glad Sega decided to do their own console (without AtGames). The game selection is fairly decent, better than the Playstation Classic. There is some input lag that makes Sonic hard to play but for the most part is very minimal like any other mini console. The only thing that would make this console perfect is having the 6 button controller, recommended to play Street Fighter and Eternal Champions. I picked up the Retro-Bit official 6 button and works perfectly, the games will recognize that there is a six button controller being used.

I love my Sega genesis mini. It has a great selection of games and the emulation is top notch. It also has great build quality. I do wish it included the 6 button controllers though.

Bought it cause i had this very model 1 unit when i was a kid. I played through Sonic when i picked this up and it's pretty good. Better than the Atgames Genesis by a mile. Some rare games are on here also and unless you wanna over pay on ebay this is the next best option for a bunch of games at a cheaper price. Not a fan of the retro scalpers on other auction sites so i try to buy classic collection games for the modern systems when i can. This is a excellent mini system to be able to play some amazing games.

An awesome mini video game system. looks just like the original but smaller. It also has a nice selection of games. Well worth the discounted price of 50 bucks!

A great mini console that really takes back to the 90’s. The visuals and audio are top notch and very high quality emulation. There might very little to no latency, hardly anything noticeable to the naked eye. As far as game choice, it has most of the obvious selection, but it also has some great obscure titles like Alysia Dragoon and some odd choices like Virtual Fighter 2, the Saturn version completely tops the Genesis port. Also, some strange omissions like Streets of Rage 1. In the end, I can’t complain much, because in my opinion, it’s one the best mini consoles out there. I would also recommend picking up a 6-button controller from 8bitdo.

Works well and is great that it connects via HDMI, some of the games are great and others are just terrible. But that is to be expected. Great fun for my kids that are younger to play games like sonic and streets of rage! Overall worth the money!

This is what Genesis retro consoles should've been from the beginning. The prior developer of the Sega retro consoles did a subpar job at best. With M2 handling things this time, it's a whole different ballgame. If you enjoyed the Sega Genesis as a kid, you'll have a lot of fond flashbacks with this system! My only minor concern is that they didn't include the 6 button controller, but the OG, 3 button is so iconic, I can't ding a star for using them instead. I'd love to see an annual version with new games each year, but that's probably asking too much.

The first thing I love about this console is the sheer number of games, 42 compared to numbers in the 20s and 30s for the Nintendo and Sony classic systems. Nearly all the greatest hits of the console are here (with the notable exception of Sonic 3 and Sonic and Knuckles). Beyond that, the interface is friendly and fun, it is easy to switch between games and save them. The emulation is nearly perfect, and it's awesome to relive some of my memories of these games on an HDTV. If you're a fan of the Sega Genesis, this is a must-have system.
