This Sega Genesis Mini is a nice throwback console with original look and feel. Though it comes with the standard three button controllers, there are aftermarket six button controllers available that are better for games like Street Fighter that are included. The emulation was developed by M2 and so the games feel like the originals. The only downside I've seen is on the game select screen that often pressing a single time up, down, left, or right, will skip two games down the list instead of one. It doesn't seem to have this issue in game, but it was enough that it was noticeable for me from the menu. Still fun console, and worth picking up to relive some classic games.

Sega did a great job by releasing this. The controllers are just like I remember in 1991 and the game selection is top notch. It may not have the hype of the other consoles but this is magical.

The Sega Genesis is a great classic console release. The emulation is will done and the games are just as fun as you remember. This is one of the better classic console releases from recent years.

Great mini for collectors. Not everyone's most popular system but it is well built with a great selection of games. I recommend getting a 6 button controller for street fighter

I’ve never been a Sega fan. I’ve always loved Nintendo as I felt it had superior quality and games. I did purchase a Dreamcast which I felt was an excellent system. I’ve built a game room recently and wanted to include Sega in the theme. I have all of the “Mini” system and purchase the “AT” games version of the Sega system to complete the set. I was excited to find out that Sega was coming out with their own mini system with M2 doing the emulation. After playing a few games, I’m still a Nintendo fan but can appreciate what Sega brought to the dance. I’ve enjoyed playing the system so far and would highly recommended it for collectors or anyone wanting to try out Sega for the first time.

Has a great line up of games that were exclusive to the Genesis.. some not even in the States so that alone was worth it. Great quality as well. Much different than the other clones of the past.

SEGA Genesis was the first gaming console that I owned. Not the first that I played, I played at friends' homes and my cousins on their Nintendo consoles, but then the Genesis came out, I was the first pf my friends to get it and I loved this thing! I remember spending most of that summer playing with my friends and it was amazing. When I left home after high school, I remember packing it and taking it with me but with the years going by and moving from place to place, I guess I lost it somewhere. So when I saw this I knew I had to get it. Saturday mornings are like I'm a kid again, bowl of cereal on the couch in front of the tv playing Sonic the Hedgehog.

Loved playing Sonic on the original. Saw these mini systems being raved about and got my dad a SNES system for christmas. Then when I heard they were going to start pumping a Saga version out too, I had to pounce. AND I didn't have to buy a cable extension for the controler like I did for my dad's SNES, which was one of the most ghetto things I've ever scene. You had to practically sit right on top of the thing to play it was so short. Great selection of games. Easy set up. Could you imagine paying $50 bones back in the day for all that content? Get one. Now get an N64 mini on the market and were golden.

This game console is a perfect size for my toddler. It doesn't take up a lot of room and the games are awesome! Reminds me of my childhood days. I've actually been playing it myself!

Move over, Nintendo; you have been dethroned as the king of the mini consoles! Sega really delivered the goods with this great mini, including a whopping 42 games, almost none of which are duds (though Ghouls n Ghosts, Virtual Fighter 2, and Eternal Champions are admittedly poopy). The only problem is that you'll need a couple of six-button controllers (another $15 each) if you wanna throw down on Street Fighter II SCE. All-in-all, a fantastic console. I can't wait for the hack, so I can put my Sega CD and 32X games on it!

Worth the price for all of the great games included. I took it on a recent business trip and was entertained the whole time by playing games I remember and even getting introduced to a few I haven't ever played. They're just as challenging as I remember, but really rewarding when you manage to get to a level you haven't seen or beat a boss you struggled with as a kid. Here's a tip - if you're struggling with Contra Hard Corps; change the language on the console settings to Japanese and start the game. It's the same game (in Japanese) but there's a cheat code available ,unlike the US version, that gives you a ton of lives... just search Google.

Take it back to the early 90s and your childhood with this great collection of games and a discounted price. The nostalgia alone makes this worth it!

Decent selection of games. I get they didn't have the rights to everything but they picked a great mix to put on the unit. Emulation is very good, games play just fine.

40+ awesome games in a well made shell with OEM size controllers and everything looks and sounds amazing. This is how mini consoles should all be moving forward.

After the rough release of the PlayStation classic I was worried about another mini console, but this one did not disappoint! Great selection of games and great emulation!

I like the system, the emulation is spot on. Not a fan of the controller length, but the controllers themselves are true to the originals. Worth it for sega fans.

The simple side scrolling games are fun. Introduced my grandkids to sonic had ours of fun. I wish the headphone jack was functional. The size makes it easy to travel with. The use of HDMI for video and micro USB and small power brick simplifies hookup.

This is the cutest thing I own. It's a perfect replica of the original. Comes with some great games, too. Great gift, especially if it's on sale.

When I found out that this was coming out I knew I had to get it!! I had a Sega Gensis growing up and still have it today and I would play pac-man and sonic on it all the time!! What really got me excited was the fact that this has both Castle of Illusion games which were my absolute favorite!! I wish it had Dig Dug on it but for the price it’s pretty amazing. My only complaint is that when you want to switch games you can only do it from the console itself there is no button on the controller to take you back to the home page. It was super easy to set up and I am really enjoying it so far!!

I rate this the best mini console out there because not only the amount of games but the quality ofvthe game selection. It also comes with 2 controllers.
