Segway E2 Pro: Reliable Ride, Heavyweight Champ
AuAu Posted 1 year ago
So, I've been testing out the Segway E2 Pro scooter, and I wanted to share my thoughts. Overall, I'm really impressed! It zoomed up hills like a champ, way better than I expected for a scooter its size. The speed is perfect- it's fast enough to be fun for older kids and teens, but also practical for grown-ups like me to get around. It's been super reliable, I haven't had a single problem getting where I need to go. However, there's one big thing to keep in mind: this scooter is *heavy*. Seriously, it's a workout just carrying it around. If you've got a place to easily store it and you're pretty strong, it's not a huge deal. But if you're thinking of lugging it up and down stairs or onto public transport, you might want to think twice. It's definitely worth going to a shop and trying to lift it yourself before you buy it, just to make sure you're comfortable with the weight.

Dear Customer,

Thank you for sharing such a thoughtful and detailed review of the Segway E2 Pro Electric Scooter. We’re thrilled to hear it’s been reliable, powerful on hills, and versatile enough for both teens and adults to enjoy. Your feedback about the speed and practicality really highlights what makes this model special.

We also appreciate your honest note about the scooter’s weight. It’s true that the E2 Pro is built with durability and performance in mind, which can make it heavier than smaller models. Your suggestion to test lifting it in person before purchase is excellent advice for future riders, and we’re glad you shared it.

If you ever have questions or need assistance with your scooter, please reach out to our Segway Customer Support team at technicalsupport@segway.com or call 1‑866‑4SEGWAY (866‑473‑4929).

Great Scooter!
KyleKingoftheScooter Posted 10 months ago
This is really an incredible scooter. I've never owned an electric scooter before and this is my first one. I'm 38 years old and I bought this solely because I wanted a toy to scoot around the neighborhood. I don't think I'll ever use this to commute to work or to go to the grocery store but dang it. It's a real good time. The swag lights make me the heart throb of all the mommies in the neighborhood. It's got a nice bell to ding at small children as you drive-by. It's a little heavy, but I don't think a lightweight is really what you want with something like this. It feels like it goes very fast. I rarely drive it in sport mode just because I like the vibe of the drive mode. The battery feels like it lasts a ridiculously long amount of time. I play on this thing often, and I feel like my legs get tired from standing before the battery dies. The handlebars feel very beefy, which I think you definitely want. The brake stops it when you want it to. Overall, I think this is a great scooter. It feels like it goes fast and lasts a long time. I would definitely buy this again.

It’s a great scooter.
Tobyknows Posted 1 year ago
This scooter is fantastic! It really picks up speed in Sport mode, but you can also dial it down if you’d rather take in the scenery during your ride. The lights give it a stylish touch, and the battery life has been impressive for my needs, especially since I use it for commuting from a garage parking. Overall, I haven’t encountered any issues with it at all.

Very fun, well made scooters!
Brian Posted 4 months ago
Bought this for my kid for his birthday, paid $419 on sale and it is absolutely worth it. The segway scooters are built really well and they feel well made. He's got over 100 miles on his scooter so far and its been great. It charges in about 4 or 5 hours and you can ride probably 5 or 6 hours and still have battery left. This scooter has the LED lights underneath that are pretty cool at night and also has headlight and tail light. Another thing, if you purchase the best buy membership like we did you get the 2 year protection plan for free on your scooter.

E2 pro Segway scooter
CAMILA Posted 4 months ago
I've purchased 2 for a little over a month now. Definitely worth the price, a very sturdy and robust scooter. Battery lasts a long while if kept on drive or eco. I've often called it the cheapest expensive scooter. However I don't love the push to start feature, but I guess it can be seen as a safety feature due to not many other scooters having it. Overall if you have the money don't think twice about it.

Dear CAMILA,

Thank you for sharing your review on the Segway E2 Pro Electric Scooter. We’re delighted to hear that you’ve purchased two and find them sturdy, robust, and well worth the price. It’s great to know the battery life has been reliable in Drive and Eco modes, and we appreciate your clever description of it as the “cheapest expensive scooter.”

We also note your feedback about the push‑to‑start feature. While it can feel inconvenient at first, you’re right that it’s designed as a safety measure to prevent unintended acceleration. At first, I thought 15.5mph max speed was silly, but I underestimated the importance of stability at speed. The E2 Pro gives you that confidence with its sturdy construction and with ESC built-in. The cruise feature is a must! And the lighting is superb at night. I paid $400 for mine at BestBuy on sale 3/30/25 and have 280 commuting miles to the bus stop. It's fun, safe, and a great value.

Solid entry level repairable electric scooter
Khalil Posted 10 months ago
Very sturdy and good build quality. Smooth ride due to the way tires are on paved roads, not for off roads or muddy water roads. Dirt roads with solid ground is still drivable. Top speed after firmware update via app is 19mph, when the battery is around 20%, it slows down to 15-16mph. I bought this because ninebot has a good ecosystem for spare parts, if something goes wrong, those parts can be repaired rather than buying whole another electric scooter.

JEFFF Posted 1 year ago
This is a great product for me and my wife to go out to parks and down the trails and go scooting together. We have a lot of fun and have even went to Garfield memorial to ride around the cemetery on a date night. This scooter is the perfect size for my wife. And with an average speed of 12 to 15 miles an hour, she feels safe on it. Along with good breaks and ground effects lighting
