Customer Ratings & Reviews

I recently got the chance to ride the Segway Ninebot Max G3 Electric Scooter, and honestly, it completely changed how I think about commuting. This isn’t just a scooter—it feels like a serious upgrade to everyday transportation. The first thing that stood out to me was the range. Being able to ride up to around 50 miles on a single charge means I don’t have to constantly worry about battery life, which is a huge relief for longer rides or busy days. It’s easily one of the best options out there for distance riders. On top of that, the scooter reaches speeds close to 28 mph, which makes getting around fast and actually enjoyable. What really impressed me, though, is how smooth and stable the ride feels. The suspension and large tires handle bumps and rough roads way better than I expected, making every ride comfortable instead of stressful. Whether I’m cruising through streets or going uphill, the power is definitely there. I also love the smart features—being able to connect it to an app, track it, and customize settings makes it feel modern and secure. Little details like turn signals and strong build quality show that Segway really thought about safety and convenience. Of course, it’s not perfect. It’s a bit on the heavier side, so carrying it upstairs isn’t ideal, and the throttle can feel a little sensitive at times. But honestly, those are small trade-offs compared to everything you get. Overall, the Ninebot Max G3 feels like the perfect mix of power, range, comfort, and technology. If you’re looking for a reliable, high-performance scooter that can handle daily commutes and longer rides, this one is absolutely worth it. It doesn’t just meet expectations—it exceeds them.

I’ve been riding the Segway G3 Max for just under three weeks now, and it has genuinely transformed my daily routine. Whether it’s commuting to work, quick errands, or casual weekend rides, this scooter delivers performance, comfort, and reliability far beyond what I expected. Performance & Speed The G3 Max offers solid acceleration and handles inclines with ease thanks to its powerful motor. I’ve consistently hit its top speed (around 23–25 mph) without it feeling unstable. It’s quick enough to keep pace with urban traffic while staying safe and manageable. Battery Life One of the highlights is definitely the long-range battery. I’ve only needed to charge it a couple of times in these 20 days — it easily covers my daily usage without worry. Segway’s claim of 40+ miles per charge is accurate, especially if you’re riding in eco or standard modes. Ride Quality The ride is smooth and stable, even over rougher pavement. The 10" tires do a great job absorbing small bumps. The wider deck gives a secure stance, and the brakes (both electronic and disc) are responsive and reassuring. App Integration The Segway-Ninebot app is a nice bonus. I can lock the scooter, track mileage, change speed modes, and check diagnostics all from my phone. It adds a smart layer to the experience. Build & Safety Build quality feels premium and sturdy, with a clean and minimal design. The lighting is bright and visible — a major plus for riding in the early mornings or evenings. The included bell and reflectors also boost safety.

I recently purchased the Segway Ninebot Max G3, and it has completely exceeded my expectations! This electric scooter is a perfect blend of power, comfort, and cutting-edge tech, making it ideal for both daily commutes and leisurely rides. The 2,000W peak power motor is a beast, effortlessly hitting speeds up to 28 mph and tackling steep hills with ease. I was blown away by the smooth acceleration and torque, especially in Sport mode, which makes zipping through city streets a thrill. The 50-mile range (extendable to 75 miles with the optional battery) means I can go days without charging, and the dual charging option cuts recharge time to just 2.5 hours—perfect for my busy schedule. The ride quality is phenomenal, thanks to the dual hydraulic suspension and 11-inch self-sealing tires. Even on uneven pavement or light gravel, it feels like gliding on butter. The wider deck and curved handlebars provide excellent ergonomics, and at 6’2” with size 12 feet, I find it super comfortable for long rides. The smart features are next-level. The full-color TFT display is vibrant, showing speed, battery, and even turn-by-turn navigation. The AirLock system, which unlocks the scooter via Bluetooth proximity, is seamless, and Apple Find My integration gives me peace of mind. The 360-degree lighting, including bright headlights and turn signals, makes nighttime rides safe and stylish. Build quality is top-notch with a sturdy aluminum alloy frame, and the IPX6 rating means I don’t worry about rain. At $899 during pre-order (now ~$1,099), it’s an incredible value for the performance and features. Whether you’re a commuter or an adventure seeker, the Max G3 is a grand slam. I can’t recommend it enough

The Segway Ninebot Max G3 is a true commuter powerhouse. With a 28 mph top speed and an impressive 50-mile range, it sets a new standard for urban mobility. The ride is silky smooth, supported by a rock-solid build and responsive handling. The long-lasting battery makes it ideal for extended rides or multiple daily trips without constant recharging. What stands out most is the premium design…sleek, durable, and engineered for both performance and style. The brakes inspire confidence, and the instant yet controlled acceleration makes navigating city traffic effortless. This scooter goes beyond transportation, it’s a lifestyle upgrade. Whether you’re dodging traffic, running errands, or simply cruising, the Ninebot Max G3 delivers the perfect blend of speed, endurance, and reliability. If you want next-level commuting freedom, this is the scooter to own. My only suggestion for improvement: the alarm sound could be louder.

After zipping around on the Segway Max G3 for over 100 miles in just 20 days, I’ve got plenty to say about this electric scooter. Spoiler alert: it’s a blast to ride, but it’s not without its flaws. The Good: Speed, Build, and Fun Factor This bad boy is a quality-built machine that feels sturdy and screams “I’m ready to roll!” With a top speed of 28 mph (thanks to its 800w motor, peaking at 2000W), it’s no slouch. It’s not going to keep up with the likes of the Inmotion RS or Kaabo Wolf GT—those are the twin-turbo Lambos of the scooter world—but the Max G3 is like trading in your Prius for a Porsche Cayman. It’s fast enough to make you grin like a kid on a sugar high, especially when you’re weaving through traffic or cruising to the gym. The dual spring suspension is a dream, soaking up bumps like a champ. I’m 6 feet tall, 240 lbs, and I haven’t bottomed out once, even on rough city streets. The 10-inch pneumatic tires provide solid stability and decent traction, whether you’re dodging road grit, tackling light rain, or (less successfully) venturing onto grass. The deck is grippy and sleek, though I wish it were a tad wider for my big feet—guess I’ll just have to perfect my scooter ballet stance. The app is a nice touch, offering a plethora of customization options, from speed settings to lighting effects. The onboard color display is bright and clear, showing speed, battery, and even a handy charge timer. I even tried the GPS function, which was surprisingly decent for basic navigation, though it’s not exactly Google Maps. You’ll need to pull over and fiddle with your phone to reroute—no handlebar controls here, sadly. Oh, and let’s talk about that charging speed. The 551Wh battery charges faster than my phone (kidding), with a timer to let you know when you’re ready to roll. It’s the kind of convenience that makes you feel like you’re living in the future—minus the flying cars. The Not-So-Good: Battery Blues and Brake Woes Here’s where the Max G3 stumbles. The battery life is, to put it bluntly, a buzzkill. Rated for about 50 miles under ideal conditions, I found it starts to taper off around 10-15 miles in real-world use (again, I’m a hefty 240 lbs). My old Segway Max G30 had a larger battery, and the difference is noticeable on longer rides. After 15 miles, the speed drops, and you’re left crawling along, dreaming of a power-up like in Mario Kart. Rumor has it an extended battery is coming this summer—fingers crossed it doesn’t eat up precious deck space. The brakes are another sore spot. The mechanical disc brakes work, but they’re rough around the edges, especially at speeds over 20 mph. After some grime builds up, they screech like a banshee auditioning for a metal band. Hydraulic brakes would’ve been a game-changer, but at this price point (around $900-$1000), I guess we’re stuck with the budget option. The front light is bright enough for casual night rides, but its throw is underwhelming at 28 mph. If you’re planning to channel your inner Batman on late-night cruises, you’ll want to upgrade to a beefier light. The rear lights and turn signals, though, are solid and keep you visible. Who’s This Scooter For? The Segway Max G3 is perfect for: Short commuters: If your ride to work or the store is 5-10 miles round trip and you can charge at your destination, this scooter’s your jam. Fun-seekers: Want to feel like a kid again, zipping around the neighborhood? The G3 delivers that joyride vibe. City slickers: Its compact size and grippy tires make it ideal for urban jungles. It’s not for long-distance warriors or folks who need top-tier brakes and lights out of the box. If you’re riding 20+ miles daily, look elsewhere—or wait for that extended battery. Final Thoughts The Segway Max G3 is a zippy, well-built scooter that’s an absolute blast for short to medium rides. Its speed, suspension, and app features make it a standout, but the battery life and brakes keep it from scooter superstardom. For the price, it’s a solid deal, especially if you’re after a fun, reliable ride to spice up your daily commute or weekend adventures. Pro tip: Wear a helmet and maybe some gloves—this thing’s faster than your average skateboard, and road rash is no a good look. Safe riding, and may your battery always be full! **Rating**: 7.5/10 – A great ride that could use a bigger juice pack and better brakes.

Well let me first say, if I had a DUI and couldn’t drive a vehicle legally…I would be riding this scooter everywhere! This beast of a machine does an easy 30 MPH with me on it and I’m 175 pounds, 6 ft 3 inches tall. I ride in sport mode (fastest) which uses more battery and less distance but I still get about 30 miles! It charges pretty fast as well. I haven’t tried charging the battery from zero % yet but usually charges from 30% to full in a couple hours. It also tells you how long is left to charge battery to full. One of my favorite things about this scooter is the suspension / super bright LED head light, It literally feels like my 13,000$ KTM dirt bikes suspension. I jump off curbs and it feels like landing on a memory foam bed. I love the Segway mobility app! They did a great job with the electronics and it lets you do so many cool things with it. The scooter has a sweet digital dashboard and with the app you can track distance, mileage, battery…many many more cool things. You can put a lock code on it, start it remotely, and have traction control. With much much more. The ninebot Max G3 scooter is by far best bang for your buck for a quality, dependable, fast scooter! It will not disappoint.

**“I’ve been using the Segway Ninebot Max G3 regularly and it has been a very reliable scooter. The power is noticeable right away — acceleration is smooth but strong, and it maintains speed well even on slight inclines. It feels stable and well-built, which gives confidence when riding on different types of terrain, not just perfect roads. One thing I really like is how comfortable the ride is. The handling is predictable, the braking feels safe, and overall it’s easy to control even during longer rides. Battery life has been solid so far and holds up well for daily use. Build quality also stands out. It doesn’t feel cheap or fragile — everything feels tight and durable, like it’s made to last. That’s important if you plan to use it often. Overall, it’s a great combination of power, comfort, and reliability. I use it for daily rides and it hasn’t disappointed. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a dependable and capable scooter.”**

The Segway G3 Max is easily one of the best electric scooters I’ve ridden. It feels super sturdy without being too heavy, and the ride is incredibly smooth even on rough pavement. The speed and range are perfect for commuting or quick errands — I consistently get great battery life. Setup was simple right out of the box, and the app features are a nice bonus for tracking rides. It also folds easily for storage. If you're looking for a reliable, powerful, and comfortable scooter, the G3 Max is 100% worth it.

Was in the market . Wanted something solid with good range . Fast and reliable easy to operate. This thing hits on every level. I ride down to the beach every day live how this thing rides . Like surfing on pavement . And it takes bumps in the road well . No crashes or close calls .

Amazing ride right out of the box! The Ninebot Max G3 is seriously impressive — super smooth, fast, and comfortable. With a top speed around 28 mph and up to 50 mile range, it’s perfect for commuting or just cruising around town. It feels solid and well-built, handles bumps and hills with confidence, and the battery life is legit — I haven’t had range anxiety once! Setup was easy and intuitive, and the ride quality is noticeably better than other scooters I’ve tried. Whether you’re heading to work, running errands, or just exploring, this scooter makes it fun. Highly recommend if you want a powerful, reliable electric ride!

My 1st scooter was a segway gl30 which was pretty amazing for cruising. I recently got a G3 which has all the bells and whistles. The build quality is so premium. The lights are bright and there are lights everywhere. Integrated turn signal are very bright and the sounds are pleasing to the ears. The front and rear suspension are so plush. I find myself looking for rough roads just to erase them. I recently upgraded my motorcycle with fox suspension which are pothole erasers. The suspension on the G3 are not that plush but for a scooter, amazing. Plus the fox suspension cost most more than the G3 itself. I can ride until the G3 is dead because it's comfortable. I couldnt do the same on the GL30. The electronics are intuitive and easily to get to. The app is very good and makes connecting to the G3 is quick without connectivity problems. Now be very, very careful with unlocking the sport mode with top speed and boost. If you're not prepared, the G3 will take off without you. This mode is not for children or the elderly. Great thing they they have walk, eco, and drive modes in which you can set and customize speed limits. If you're getting this scooter for a teen, i highly suggest to set speed limts. I highly recommend the Segway G3. If I could buy it again, i would have bought it yesterday. If Segway hit a homerun with the GL30, and G2, they smashed a grand slam with the G3.

I was deciding between a scooter and e-bike. I picked the scooter for its portability thinking I could throw it in the car and take it to the park. It’s actually a little bigger and heavier than expected but still portable. The app works great and I enjoy being able to customize how you use the scooter. You can set your phone’s Bluetooth up to unlock it or enter in a password. It tops out 28mph, as advertised but you have to configure it in the app. I’ve found the range to be less than advertised but plenty for my use. There is an optional extended battery that you can add at an additional cost.

Very smooth & fast, so far every ride has been perfect. This is my first scooter & it did not disappoint, I feel like I chose the perfect scooter for me.

This scooter is incredibly reliable and completely replaces the need for a car on short commutes. My work is 4 miles away, and I can easily make the round trip all week on a single charge. Even when the battery gets low, tossing it into Eco mode buys me a couple of extra miles to get home. The only major downside is the weight. It’s pretty heavy, which isn't a problem on the ground, but for me, lugging it up three flights of stairs every day definitely gets annoying. Also, make sure to adjust the suspension evenly right out of the box, otherwise it becomes pretty difficult to balance out later. Overall, an excellent machine.

Unbelievable speed and strength enough to allow me reach to my destination in minutes on the hills of San Francisco. It climbs like a stallion but drains battery faster than Max G2. It consumes power faster than advertised. Build quality is superior but not as comfortable as Max G2 even though it has dual hydraulic suspension. I am in love with it anyways because I can easily stow it in my can trunk. I highly recommend.

The Segway Max G3 is an excellent product. I bought one myself easy to assemble with multiple features that are Bluetooth compatible. The the air suspension shocks makes riding on bumps feel like nothing. GPS tracking make it easy for theft and for loved ones knowing where you are. The product has LED lights in the front that are very bright. Brake lights that are bright red. Turn signals that flash on handlebars and lights under the foot rest where you stand on both sides making it very well lit at night time. The handlebars are slightly curved making rides, comfortable and easy. The bike has 4 speeds walk Eco Drive and sports. Each speed has its own unique fee.l The best speed in my opinion is sport, in the sport mode you have a boost that you can go 0 to 20 and about 2 to 3 seconds. Charging is made easy with a cord that you can carry around. Downside is that in sports mode you may only get a short amount of time of riding (hour and 30mins give or take) I also found that driving in sports mode when the bike is at 50% takes away from the speed. Another downside is going uphill. Also takes away from the speed. I clocked the max speed at about 28 to 30 mph pretty good for a scooter. I recommend this scooter to anyone over the age of 17. I highly do not recommend this product for anyone under that age because of the heaviness and a top speed. This product is great for getting around in short to long distances especially because of the gas prices being so high.

I purchased my Segway Ninebot MAX G3 from Best Buy in August 2026, and after more than a month of riding, I can say I’m very happy with my purchase! The scooter is powerful, fast, and enjoyable to ride. I love the acceleration, the top speed of 28 mph, the strong headlights, and the overall build quality. The suspension makes a noticeable difference, although rough roads and bumps can still be uncomfortable, especially on longer rides. One of my favorite things is the technology. The Segway app offers plenty of useful settings, including Apple Find My, electronic locking, regenerative braking, and charging controls. I also added the external battery for extra range, which is great for longer trips. There are a few things I think could be improved. The tires require regular pressure checks, and I’ve noticed some pressure loss over time. The ride can also feel a little rough on uneven pavement. On one occasion, the scooter briefly shut off while I was stopped at a traffic light, although it has been working normally since then. Overall, I’m impressed with the performance, design, lighting, and features. It’s a great scooter for commuting and recreational riding, and I genuinely enjoy taking it out. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a powerful, modern electric scooter, as long as they understand the importance of regular maintenance and safe riding

I ordered this scooter to commute to work. It is fast, comfortable to ride. I can park under my desk. Exceeded my expectations. Best Buy customer service was top notch. They called me when the order was ready for pick up. Gabe me the best price available on the market! Highly recommend! And highly recommend Best Buy!!!

I have put in over 120 miles on the G3 since I purchases 2 weeks ago. Not a single complaint. The G3 has performed flawlessly. My range has been slightly less than advertised but I am also 200lbs. The G3 has no issues propelling me down the road at maximum listed speeds. 5/5 Fun factor. Definitely take a couple of hours of riding before unlocking some of the additional performance. This can be a beginner scooter but quickly advances to intermediate with a couple of changes in the app. I like the FindMy and anti-theft features. Charging is super fast. Looking forward to additional battery capacity in the future.

had the segway zt3 pro before and this g3 max is a big upgrade. This scooter feels a lot more comfortable off road with thr hydraulic suspension and i did not feel like i was loosing grip on the grass. The boost mode on this is crazy and the wheel pops up every time that i almost lost control and crashed when the wheel went back down. I have been riding for a few days and the range is very good since after 3 days of riding off road and on road at high speeds mostly in sport mode, i still have 68% battery left while with the zt3 pro i would have had to charge already. The zt3 pro does look nicer but i think this scooter looks a lot better than the g2 max.
