Customers are saying

Customers have good things to say about the gameplay, story, action sequences, and controls of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. However, some players find the game's difficulty challenging, citing a steep learning curve and demanding boss fights as potential drawbacks. A few also mentioned frame rate inconsistencies. Overall, the positive feedback on the core gameplay mechanics outweighs the concerns regarding difficulty.

It's a From game, so it's hard, but I found it to be more approachable the. The Souls games and Bloodborne.. combat is faster and focus is more on parrying / blocking.

Absolutely love this game! It can be difficult at times, but I think this is where I am most engaged rather than having an easy gameplay. Quality story too.

Fantastic game as long as you're okay with the higher than most games difficulty. Strong methodical combat with very interesting narrative. Good purchase

This game is awesome! Loved every second of it. Even the times where it frustrated the crap outta me with it's difficulty. Please give it a try!

If you played Tenchu and been dying to play something since this is it! It is way harder though and will be extremely frustrating trust me. But it is very fun, additive and progressive. you feel really good when you finally beat that guy who has killed you dozens of times lol. Dont expect easy, this is hard like BloodBorne was. but if you are use to Ninja style like tenchu you get kind of an advantage because you know how to maneuver and how stealth works great. This is absolutely worth the buy, the story is great, the gameplay is great, the graphics are great, and its a really challenging game.

This game is VERY, VERY hard. I just wanted to point that out first. It's really fun and engaging too, but at the end of the day it's still a Souls game so if you don't like dying a lot, you should probably skip this. That said, this game is probably my favorite they've made as it's bright and colorful compared to the poorly lit and muted browns and grays of the Souls series. It's also better designed...gone are the days of 2 minute treks just to retry the boss you just died to. Really a great game. Some advice to Souls veterans: if you play this like those games...you're going to die a lot.

FromSoftware makes amazing games and this is no exception. Sekiro is a challenging game with fluid motion and combat that make for a satisfying experience.

Sekiro Shadows Die Twice is the epitome of immersive gameplay and riveting storytelling. While the game can be challenging for those unfamiliar with the Dark Souls genre type of games, Sekiro does a good job of explaining the game's mechanics which should help players get on their feet relatively early in the game. Also, I would be remiss if I didn't mention that the game is harder than your average adventure/action game. However, progressing in Sekiro is rewarding and I can almost guarantee that those who finish the game will walk out wanting more.

Very challenging game with a good learning curve wish there were more moves and weapons such as ninja Gaiden but since there is an emphasis on stealth as well as combat i can see why it tries to balance both. Overall a good game with a rich story and nice graphics

I love Demons Souls. I love Bloodborne. I enjoyed the Dark Souls series. Sekiro is Bloodborne level of genius. This may look like Nioh, but this is not Nioh. I will say both are equally frustrating, but Sekiro does not suffer from infinite stunlocks that hampered Niohs combat. Sekiro may not feature the varied combat of Nioh, but the simplification of stances has made for less complex, but equally satisfying combat system that'seasier to master. The world created here is unique and beautiful. The bosses and enemy placements make sense and pacing flows incredibly well. Had to get use to combat based on posture and parrying, but once I got it this frustrating experience became one of my favorite games of all time. This was an annoying game in the beginning, but just like every fromsoft game, once you learn the mechanics you start experiencing the unique rewar of achievement these games provide.

FromSoftware is known for challenging games, and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is no exception. That being said, despite the challenge, this game is just pure fun. The combat mechanics are amazing. There is no other game that compares. It may not have the most bleeding edge graphics, but it really does hold its own even among some of the other recent AAA titles. The story is compelling, and the world and character design is beautiful and creepy at the same time. I guarantee you'll not only get tons of hours of gameplay from this game, but it also has great replay value.

The game is great. The graphics are great. The game itself is tough, and I wouldn’t recommend it for young ages. It definitely takes time to progress through the story line, but that’s a nice feature for someone who may typically rush to finish one.

Very fun and extremely challenging game! If you're looking for a casual experience, I'd say go for something like Ghost of Tsushima but if you're ok with difficulty beyond nearly anything you've ever played (harder than dark souls to me), I'd say this is right for you! The feudal setup is perfect and the fictional monsters are crazy scary. The added ability to jump really adds to the experience since most of from software's games don't have one. I highly recommend this one to ANY Souls fan!

Combat is fun and very fast paced, you definitely feel like a shinobi slicing up enemies. You can also use stealth which is fun, and you will also come across a grappling hook. All three are new and extremely satisfying approaches to the souls series. The story seems to be set in a real world, as opposed to the whole "undead" world that the souls series is known for. I am still very early in the game, so that may change. Great game! I recommend this game for both new and old players of the soul series.

If you have played a souls game you will be a bit familiar with the formula here. Though Sekiro’s combat is much faster than any game in the Souls series. The combat speed here is more on the Bloodborne side as far as speed but also completely different, if that makes sense. As expected in a From Software game, amazing game design, wonderful art and music and of course difficulty. The difficulty is not frustrating, it challenges you to get better and greatly rewards you for doing so.
