Sennheiser Conversation Clear Plus True Wireless Hearing Solution The Sennheiser Conversation Plus True Wireless Hearing Solution ear buds are not hearing aids. They state Hearing solution because they have noise canceling with clear voice enhancement. The APP is required to use these for setup. I could not get them to pair Bluetooth without using the APP. In the APP they continuously switched to Streaming mode, I had to switch them back to conversation mode repeatably. Once they stayed in Conversation mode, they were great with one exception. Once you close the APP all enchantments you have made to clear the voice up go away. Not that they stop working, they do continue to work normally but without any special settings you might have tuned to your liking. I was not really impressed with the quality of music being played using them. For their cost I would have expected a better sound quality. Ther is a relax mode that seemed to me to just lower the volume of everything. TO start using these there is a rather large learning curve. Understanding what ear bud to click and how many times to get the desired function was a struggle at first. I know some people will not have an issue with this, just something to keep in mind. I found that the best use for me was to just understand how to use them for clear voice and turning the volume up and down. The noise canceling worked well enough but to get the full effect you MUST leave the APP open and running on your phone. They worked very well as ear buds to take and make phone calls, I just didn’t like the way they handled music. To be fair, I am hard of hearing so I was really looking forward to the clear voice along with music and calls. Calls were great, music was very disappointing to my ears, clear voice would well enough with the APP running but was severely tuned back when the APP was closed. The final item that makes them not worth it was that I could not get them paired with my phone or computer without using the APP. So using them as ear buds on your computer to listen to music and help block out office noise was out of the question. I was able to see them Bluetooth on my phone once but when I tried to pair them I was greeted by, An APP must be used with this device. I really saw no reason why you couldn’t make the changes you wanted in the APP and then close it to continue using them. Seems like your wasting phone battery power to have the APP running in the background all the time. I cannot recommend these because of the cost and APP dependency. If 2 things had been fixed it would have made all the difference. No APP for continued use, and the ability to pair them Bluetooth without the APP.

First, you need to know that I am a long-time (over 15 years) wearer of prescription hearing aids for moderate hearing loss in the 3 to 6 kHz range. That’s the frequency range of the human voice and a good portion of the audio environment around us. I’ve never been completely happy with my prescription hearing aids and I had hoped these Sennheiser hearing devices would offer me quality, improvements, and features that do not exist in my prescription hearing aids. I had such high hopes for these hearing devices because of the Sennheiser brand-name. I already own a number of other Sennheiser audio products (2 headphones, 1 speaker, and 3 monaural headsets) and they’re all excellent products and I’m very happy with each of them. In fact, the Sennheiser name is the sole reason that I selected these particular hearing devices. Why am I so disappointed? It’s the amount of squealing, screeching, and squawking that makes these hearing devices nearly unusable for anything other than streaming. You need to understand that I’m not talking about the occasional squeak or squawk. I’m talking about near constant squealing, screeching, and squawking when in Conversation Mode or Relax Mode. The hearing devices screech and squeal when I talk, when I turn my head, when I yawn, when I cough, when I open my mouth to take a bite of food, when I chew my food, when I take a sip of my drink, when I look up, when I look down, when I lean forward, when I raise my arm up, when I reach for something, when I stand up from my chair, when I sit down in my chair, when I open the front door, when I close the front door, when I turn and walk, when I do just about anything other than sit perfectly still holding my head looking straight forward. And then they’ll sometimes even squeal and squawk when I’m just sitting there not moving. Attempting to watch TV in either Conversation Mode or Relax Mode is not possible unless I sit perfectly still and don’t turn my head or move my body in any way or attempt to speak. Basically, I’ve ended up with an extremely expensive pair of decent sounding earbuds! Stream Mode However, as earbuds go, they have pretty good sound. I was impressed with the quality of sound in the Stream Mode. The earbuds give clean, clear, crisp highs and decent lows without any errant audio artifacts. It’s worth mentioning that there is absolutely no squealing, screeching, or squawking at all in the Stream Mode. Conversation Clear App (Android) This is decent software and does a great job of controlling the hearing devices. Downloading and installing the app on my Android phone was trouble-free. Also, Bluetooth pairing of the earbuds to my Android smart phone was effortless. I especially like the Sound Control slider in the Stream Mode which allows me to select my preferred mix between the external sounds around me and the audio, like music, that I’m streaming. Move the slider to the left and I get more external sounds and less streamed audio or music volume. Move the slider to the right and I get more streaming volume and less external or ambient sounds from my environment. It is a very intuitive method of controlling Active Noise Canceling. Kudos to the software designers who came up with that Sound Control slider. On my Android phone, the Conversation Clear app automatically answers my incoming calls and routes the audio through the earbuds. It’s worth noting that there is no squealing, screeching, or squawking in the earbuds during a phone call. If you allow the incoming call to hang up first, then you don’t even have to touch your smart phone. When I make an outgoing call, I just pick up my phone and initiate the call and it’s automatically routed through the earbuds. Of course, any inbound or outbound phone call will automatically pause the audio stream to the earbuds without any interaction from me. Based on my disappointing experience with these Sennheiser True Wireless Hearing Solution devices, I cannot recommend them to anyone. The nearly endless squealing, screeching, and squawking into my ears in either Conversation Mode or Relax Mode, render them useless for their intended purpose.

I have moderate hearing loss and tinnitus in my right ear. It's most evident when talking to people as I tend to blatantly turn my left ear toward them so I can hear them better. I was super excited to get and try these in the hope that I'd finally be able to look people straight-on and have a normal face-to-face conversation, especially with my wife. Alas, these are not the solution for a list of reasons. - Very unreliable results actually helping to with conversations, even after careful personal tuning. In some cases I could hear sounds and conversation quite clearly but, most notably, when talking to my wife (maybe it's just the pitch of her voice) I could almost always hear and understand her better WITHOUT these than with them. It was especially difficult to understand her when trying to talk to her with these in while we were in a car with typical road/background noise. At all times though, even in situations where it "helped", the overall audio effect was a bit like talking to someone through a tube -- it wasn't a natural sound at all. - For some strange reason these assume both ears need the same boost. There is no way to boost one side more than the other save to put one in but not the other, which works but has its own peculiar drawbacks (see next point). - Bluetooth audio functions appear entirely dependent on the left bud. The left bud will Bluetooth all on its own, the right bud will not. Either bud will do hearing enhancement on its own, and either bud can be CONTROLLED by the app on its own (although the app complains about the non-connected bud), but if you want Bluetooth audio you'll need the left bud or both. This is unfortunate because it's my right ear that needs enhancement the most and would be most useful for me to keep a bud in. - Where these DID help was ambient sounds. If I had these in while working on my computer I could hear the dog pawing at the door to get in/out more clearly than ever. However, though the dog no doubt appreciates my heightened attentiveness, that's not what I got these for. - As far as Bluetooth audio goes they're so-so, audio is clear and mostly-neutral being a little thin on presence. On the plus side, the app itself is useful and very configurable, and the audio modes and controls on these buds is varied and complex enough that I recommend keeping the app handy so you can see and control exactly what the buds are doing. Namely, the app makes it clear that the buds have 3 modes -- relaxed, communication, and streaming. - Relaxed mode: is basically a noise-cancelling mode where you can somewhat control how much ambient sound you let in. It's nice that it's not all or nothing, though even in full-on quiet mode the buds themselves are physically incapable of keeping out all ambient sound. - Communication mode: is conversation enhancement mode. You can set how much boost, though this boost is delivered equally to both ears. There's also a "clarity" toggle which never made a difference that I could readily identify. There's also a fine-tune mode where you can slide from smooth-to-clear though in my experience the actual difference this makes was too subtle to be of obvious value. - Streaming mode: is when the buds are receiving Bluetooth audio of any kind, and this mode lets you balance how much you hear of the stream vs ambient enhancement. These have potential, possibly addressable with future firmware and/or software, but as-is I could not possibly recommend these. They aren't reliable or even especially good at their hallmark "communication" function, and are only so-so at Bluetooth functions. I love the idea of these but the performance is sub-par for this pricepoint.

Sennheiser - Conversation Clear Plus - True Wireless Hearing Aids are very good. Case - The case is very durable and easy to charge. Comes with a USB-C charging cable and can be plugged in anywhere. LED indicator lights up as it is charging to let you know when you are charging the hearing aids as well as when they are finished charging. Ear pieces - The ear pieces are very comfortable and comes with various sizes to fit your ears snuggly. Easy to change out if need be. App - The app is very robust and easy to use. It fine tunes the sounds for your ears and can be optimized for voice clarity. I found the sound a bit sensitive for my ears, so my hearing may not be as bad as I thought or I am being told by some folks. I can hear better with them for sure, but can also pick up some ambiance noise but not bad, that is why I rated them 4 stars. Quality - quality is of top notch and comfortability for them is very good. I can wear them for hours without hurting my ears or feeling tired of having them in my ears. (No real ear fatigue). I would recommend these for anyone who is having issues with hearing and again these can be tweaked to tune voices without so much of the clatter, but not quite enough for me.

Well it was a good idea. I like the fit in my ears and I was hopeful that it would help with my problem when it comes to hearing folks because I tend to not hear clearly when someone is talking directly to me. The boosting of "sounds in the room" is obvious but it also sounds like I am inside of a long box. Voices are a bit distorted as well. The Bluetooth connection and earbud function are excellent. If you have problems hearing the spoken words while watching TV if your TV has a Bluetooth connection pair these up and enjoy. The app that accompanies these works great and I would definitely recommend spending some time tweaking things. With Sennheiser quality when it comes to audio you will enjoy using these as earbuds but I am not so sure about the Conversation Clear Plus functioning. Maybe I need to use these a little longer and a firmware update might come out and fix the issue I am having with the sounding like I am in a tunnel. These are good but not great. Not sure if I would recommend these right now.
