I bought the HDVD 800 to pair up with my Sennheiser HD 800. Oh, what a match made in heaven ! It impressively enhances the sounds coming out of the HD 800, especially if you listen to the classical music-wider sound stage, clearer separation of instruments, and improved footprint of the bass. What has surprised me the most, pleasantly I must add, is that the HDVD 800 made my Audio-Technica's ATH-M50 a revealing and powerful pair. From the M50, through the HDVD, the vocals sound more intimate and touching, the electronic music pounchier and resounding. When I listen to the works by Satori, the ocean waves literally will crash from my left ear, through my head, then to my right ear. That is the kind of musical oasis the HDVD 800 will create for you. No regret, just pure joy for my purchase.
