I bought these headphones from Best Buy just over a week ago. I was looking for something that would produce decent sound without getting into the higher end, $200, headphones. My overall thoughts are that these are a great purchase for under $150. I will say, you're not going to get a big bass kick from these. If you're looking for a lot of heavy bass, then these are not the headphones for you. You will be disappointed by the bass if that is what you want. However, if you're looking for more of a genuine, crisp sound without spending over $150, then these are what I recommend. Pros: They have good battery life. I have used them all day and did not get any drop in performance from low battery, nor did I ever run out. You can tell that these are built with the Sennhesier quality, but they are still light weight. I personally think these have a better build quality than most Beats, or Sony headphones. If you're listening on a computer, these things can get LOUD. I have noticed however, that they are not as loud when used with a phone, but that was expected. The ability for both Bluetooth or corded experience is a must in over-the-ear headphones now, and Sennhesier delivers on that. The controls on these headphones are great. I come from most of my experience with controls being on in-ear headphones, so it was awesome to have an upgrade in control quality. Phone calls on the HD 4.40 are actually pretty great. I spent some time on the phone with some people, and it felt like they were in the room with me. The general consensus from the other side of the call was that the audio was fine. I think that they're comfortable, and I have big ears. I have such big ears that they don't quite fit over my entire ear, but they mostly do, and I still found them comfortable. I was able to wear them hours on end. Cons The Bluetooth, while good quality with no lag, lacks volume. That's pretty typical with headphones though. They are not noise canceling. This came as a suprise to me, because I assumed that any over-the-ear headphone over $100 should be noise canceling. These are not. I was pretty disappointed when I could still hear the meat-head at the gym grunting away, but I should have read the box first. Maybe it's my fault for not checking, but noise canceling should be a given at this price. Lack of bass. They're not hard hitters, which usually doesn't bother me, but it's lacking enough that I have to mention it. Final Thoughts: I bought these headphones for the purpose of going to the gym. With that said, they do the job and they don't break the bank doing it. I found their long battery life, comfort, and build quality to be worth the $150.00. I would recommend buying them if you're looking for an economy over-the-ear headphone. I will say however, that the carrying bag that comes with the headphones is too big. Headphones are more secure in a tighter bag, so I replaced mine. I would still have no worries about throwing these in a backpack without the carrying bag, which I did one day. They lived.

Sure the ear covers have worn off . But they charge and very easy to connect. I use them on multiple devices including laptops and cellphone. The sound quality is great. Sure there are not as good as Bose . But you get your money whort. I say they hold up quite well .

Light Weight Undisputed These headphones are light but by no means flimsy. they feel solid and are comfortable to wear. Ear Cup size is decent, though it could be bigger (i know the issue are my ears and not the ear cups). Ear cups isolate noise really well (i use them on a workshop and i cant hear the drills or impact drivers). Sound wise; they are balanced headphones, not too much base good mids and good treble. If you are looking for beats like base look elsewhere.

Considering the name I was hoping for something special as I've been looking to get away from Beats as I'm just not happy with the quality for the price we are all paying for them. Thus I decided to give these a try - though I will admit the deciding factor was they were on sale for $100! Even though I had no real intention of buying headphones that day, it's really hard to pass up what could possibly be a really good deal as the demo pair sounded pretty good up against the others (the few demos that actually worked anyway). Pros - Decent, clear sound, fair amount of bass, good battery life, comfortable enough for me to wear for extended amounts of time while I work outdoors. Cons - Volume - won't go above source volume. Headphone parts are pretty much made of plastic. Being such I don't see much longevity. Controls - while pretty much straightforward, aren't the easiest to use or distinguish. Headphone cups - as far as I know they aren't replaceable. In summary: For the cost spent I can't really complain. If I had paid full cost I would have been disappointed. I would deem these a starter set of headphones, for those looking for a decent sound on a budget. They are not by any means a high end pair despite the name...

I've wanted to buy another Sennhesier headset for awhile, I've used my wired Momentums and my older hd558s for years and loved them for different reasons. I also have a pair of Bose Soundsport pulse Bluetooth headphones, Bose Soundtrue 2, and a cheaper pair of Bluetooth headphones called Taotronics an earbud design that I bought on Amazon for around 30 bucks. These headphones are on par with the comfort of my Bose Soundtrue 2 which were my most comfortable until these came along. Now that I've used high end Bluetooth earbuds from Bose I wanted to try a Sennhesier Bluetooth option and these just came out and I saw them at CES. What you expect first and foremost from Sennheiser is great sound quality and the HD4.40s certainly do not disappoint. Clear crisp high and mid with punchier bass than in my other Sennhieser headphones, hd558s are open back so bass isn't expected. These are warm I truly love the sound for listening to music of any type and they serve well for podcast as well. The build quality is solid and not the most premium but for the price it's expected and they do feel and look good and are strong, Sennhieser typically uses premium materials and the surfaces all feel great just not a lot of metal or leather. Although the leather earcups are better than my Bose and Sennhieser Momentums. I do like how they fold up to easily fit in my bag. Wireless is the main reason I bought these because I wanted a great sounding over ear headphone and I knew Sennhieser wouldn't let me down and they've blow me away. Range is great and the battery lasts for days with 24hr use advertised. If you are using them for bursts they are gonna last along time which is huge for me. I'd tell you to go buy these if you want a very nice sounding over ear Bluetooth headphone I can't see how these would let anyone down. I'll update if anything changes.

I wasn't expecting any better sound than Beats but I was wrong. The bass is exactly what I was looking for. Very pleased. Although it is not exactly over-the-ear for me, still its comfortable to wear for long period and battery life is exceptional. Comes with cord attachment if you wish to connect via 3.5mm. Bluetooth connectivity is very strong. Awesome choice for the price range and especially when it was on clearance.

There are many good things about these headphones. I have had them for 2 years and I have zero complaints. The sound quality is amazing. I go months without needing to charge them up. The bluetooth connection (to my iPhone 6s Plus) is very reliable. I use these for workouts, and I get very sweaty at times. I also take these into the sauna (~210F) and still no issues. As far as using them for making/receiving phone calls, they are what you would expect. The voices on the other end are clear. The controls (skip track, volume, power) are simple and they work. Regarding durability, I have thrown these across the room (being too lazy to walk over and put them in my bookbag) a number of times, and they hold up. TL;DR: Great sound quality and very comfortable. No complaints. Buy these.

I was looking to outfit my non-Bluetooth TV with wireless headphones. Purchased these headphones along with a Aluratek - Bluetooth Audio Transmitter. The setup was easy and it works great! The headphones are very comfortable with deep, large pillow like ear cups. Sound quality varies from TV station to station but music sounds pretty good through them to me (but I'm no audiophile). Great range on them as I can walk through the house and around the yard without losing the connection. My only complaint is that when you first turn them on they tend to be loud. Wish I could figure out how to get them to come on at a lower level. Overall a great set of headphone that I would purchase again.

I'm a headphone guy. I've bought and sold and bought and sold and bought and sold headphones a billion times over the past decade, and I will say that these are some of the most well balanced cans I've had. Comfortable, bass kicks but isn't overwhelming, the mids don't overwhelm, and the highs aren't tinny. Solid battery life. If you want a super comfy pair of wireless headphones, but don't wanna shell out 300 for Bose, and you aren't concerned about active noise cancelling, these are rad. Put them on your head and use your ears on them.

It does not get better than this. I walked in looking for a Christmas present for my teenage daughter and had no intention of spending this kind of money but the second I tried them on I fell IN LOVE! Cut to me dancing in Best Buy like nobody’s watching. I don’t even use over the ear headphones and I wanted them for myself! This was after trying Beats, Bose and a few other high end headphones. These were by far the best. I am very indecisive and this was one of the few decisions that was so easy for me and I’ve never looked back. Cut to me 3 years later and I’m not only finally writing this review but I’m picking up another pair for another Christmas present. Only this time I don’t have to wait for Black Friday to afford them as it looks like their regular price is now $100 instead of $200 due to a new model coming out. *noise canceling- these don’t say that they are but they actually work better at canceling noise than the ones I bought that claim it. In fact as great of a product as these are they have been the source of all of my arguments with my teenager daughter because these never leave her head and she can’t hear me! So we have a rule now where she has it a little off one ear so there’s a chance of her hearing me in emergencies. Sound, well that can’t be beat! Sennheiser is the god of electronic quality The sound is Heaven! Pure Heaven. These are used as Gaming Headphones and work perfectly. And also for music. Or just plain ignoring your parents. Comfort - very very comfortable I’m looking forward to giving the new pair to my mom to use for her TV listening If you can’t decide, I promise that you will not regret buying these. Don’t be fooled by the new *noise canceling* model at the higher price that replaced these over the past year. These are every bit as good or better. Just read the reviews.

On my journey to find the right headphones I tried these out. Didn't love the fit, and didn't love the sound. Not enough bass and couldn't get it where I wanted with equalizers. Just felt like it wasn't quite there for that kind of money. Seems like you have to make the leap to something over $150 to make it worth spending more thant $50 if that makes sense. I was pretty happy with some $50 JVC's for a year or so, but they broke. Decided to bite the bullet and spend a bit more on a good pair and it took me a few tries to find some that really wowed me for the money. For me, there is no question that the JBL LIVE650BTnc are worth every penny of extra money. There's just no comparison. I understand that the difference is nothing to sneeze at, but seriously, if you can afford it spend a little more for JBL. You can get the 650 w/o noise cancelling for about the same price as the Sennheiser and I'm betting they sound just as good as the JBL's I ended up getting.

The sound is really great- so much more bass than other headphones I've owned, but not so much that it overwhelms everything. Pretty easy to use, though takes a little bit of figuring out. Battery life is great... I can go for days without charging.

So far they're pretty good. Decent battery life, sound quality, comfort. The voice that tells you that the power is on or off or that the battery's running low is a little bit loud, but other than that the only *major* issue I have is that the microphone only seems to work in bluetooth mode, not in wired mode.

For less than 100 bucks, these are a decent pair of headphones. The Bluetooth connectivity is really good, I have had Bluetooth headphones which struggle with walls but I didn't notice any interference while using these. The sound is really good, nothing exceptional about the quality, but that can be expected when using headphones over Bluetooth. The battery life is fantastic! It lasted at least a few weeks before I plugged it in to charge. I have also been using these for phone calls and it works very well, very little muffling of my voice, which I like! The only complaint I do have with this pair is the earcups are too small for my ears. It doesn't hurt me, but it would've been nice to have more spacious room near my ears. The padding of the faux leather is comfortable though.
