These are excellent sounding heaphones. Just make sure you have a suitable amp!

The sound is open, highly detailed and the slideshow is huge. I recommend you have a good amp to power these babies. I bought the Sennheiser amp which cost me another 800 but it powers them prefect.

This is one top notch flagship headphone. Great pick up if you have the money to spend on a great Sennheiser.

What can you say, Sennheiser has perfected this open back design and consumers are heaping the benefits.

I've listened to many headphones in my time, (bose, akg, audio-technica, audeze & hifi planars, b&w, etc.), if you're looking for the ultimate listening experience with dynamic headphones, then this is your final stop. Let's start with the massive 56mm drivers, they are the largest drivers currently used in dynamic headphones, providing you with excellent sound quality. The design behind these headphones are specific to improve your listening experience. They feel like quality in your hands, almost like you can drop them without being worried ( not that I would recommend dropping them ). The detail in audio is on point and you'll hear sounds you haven't heard before in the songs you enjoy. Vocals are clean and beautiful, bass is spot on, everything is nice and balanced. Pair these with a DAC, solid state amp, or tube amp, and your listening experience will go through the roof. Comfort is something people are always concerned about, nobody wants to have their ears hurting or sweaty after hours of use, I can safely say that these conform to just about any head size, and with hours of use you will not feel any discomfort or sweat. The band is comfortable and adjusting them is smooth, oh so smooth. Is it worth the $1,700 or so that you will be paying? If you enjoy listening to music, then absolutely. I've let my friends use them and they aren't audiophiles, but they understand and wish they could own a pair. These headphones are no joke (300ohm impedance, yum!) and require a good AMP and DAC to get the best out of them. You can run them with an adapter on your PC, but you will be missing out on their true potential.

Got a used one or a defective product. Left side internal dust cover came out. Always lose connection and sound on right side.

I used to be deaf until I placed these over my ears. They cured me.

I finally saved enough for these Senny's and returned them the next day. Don't believe all the hype anymore, these are waaay too bright with poor bass, unless you have a great amp/dac these are not any better than the HD 600 series. I am havin much more fun with my Meze classics and even the Phillips Fidelio for a fraction of the price!
