Had a cheaper version of Sennheiser head phone after several others and they sounded real good. When the cord for those was used for dental floss by one of my pets I bought a cheaper set of Bose and those sounded even better. Had the same problem with the Bose. The HD 280 pro have a heaver cord that will not be a good pet floss. I bought these HD 280 pro and I've got to say that they are the very best I've used ever. I've had Pioneer, Sony, JVC, Bose, cheaper Sennheiser and a few others. The Sennheiser HD 280 pro are the best. The bass is not overly destrucktive and very clear, the mids are detectable and clean and the highs are crisp and the cleanest I've had in a long time. I would buy these again, and again.

I'm presently working on my MBA and I work 40 to 50 hours a week so I do homework whenever I can. My daughters have gymnastics two days a week and we are in a 20 by 20 room with other parents watching their kids, talking on the phone etc. I can put these headsets on and it's like they disappear. Something else I'm a big guy and I tried putting on Bose, Beats and a few others, but the ear muffs weren't large enough. These fit and feel great!

I did a fair amount of research on headphones and these seemed to always come up as great headphones at a great price. They provide great sound quality and block out most ambient noise. I really noticed how fantastic they were when I left them at home one day and had to use my iPod in-ear buds. The sound quality in those is nowhere close. Anyone interested in a quality pair of headphones should definitely look into these. They are as good or better than the beats for a fraction of the price.

I really recommend these headphones for anyone interested. They have amazing ambient noise cancellation and sound quality. I use my pair almost everyday when I'm on the phone or on the computer. The only thing to be concerned about with these headphones is the relatively long cord (up to 9 ft, but 3 ft when coiled) as this can easily be a turn-off for people who intend to use it on the go. However, an advantage they do have is compactability. They easily fold up into 3 different positions for ease of travel. Overall, I think this is a great pair of headphones for both casual audiophiles and professional users out there.

I was hoping to find headphones in a decent mid-ground between too inexpensive and way too much and these fit the bill. These Sennheiser, like the Audio-Technica I also have, are considered studio headphones which is said to mean they deliver a true representation of the sound as recorded vs. "audio headphones" which create a slightly broader range. Am I such an audiophile that I can really tell the difference. No. But what I can say is I've been pleased with these headphones to date, enjoying the fullness of sound they provide.

These are great for laying down tracks when recording with your computer, when rehearsing and particularly suitable for listening with a portable device. They are industry standard headphones used in recording studios across the country.

They sound great and get me the sounds I desire. Long cord, comfortable, and you can't here outside noises when you have them on. They could have a little but more punch in the low frequency range. Other than that they are perfect.

Sound is better than any high dollar headset that I have ever listened to. I have owned several brands including sony, beats and skulcandy but this beats all of those headsets on all levels. Owned a pair of wireless beats and so I have gotten spoiled with that feature, wish these came as wireless with this same price tag.

These headphones are comfortable as they surround the ears completely with hearing aids and glasses on. Cord length is great. Sound is good quality.

The sound is great, I think better than Beats by Dre. They are comfortable to wear for along time! They block out the ambient noise

Overall excellent sounding headphones. Much more durable than Bose. They block outside noise very well. Priced right, great sound for the money.

I use these primarily while traveling and that's where the small profile helps when collapsed. The sound is good as is the comfort.

I love these headphones. They sound amazing and have such a massive response. It is a very balanced sound so all frequencies have a pretty equal response. My main use was for djing which they do overall well at, they aren't too bass heavy which can make beat matching a little more difficult if you can't turn up the bass on your mixer. I use these outside to just chill out as well. Highly recommended.

These headphones live up to their name. They are comfortable and the sound is crisp and clean.

Good full size headphones for the money. Excellent sound quality, rich without too much bass - just enough. They were a little tight when new but have since loosened up and are pretty comfortable. I use them at home only as they are too bulky to travel with. I was looking for full over-the-ear headphones and picked these up based on positive reviews from several different sources.

I talked to a few of my sound engineer buddies and they highly recommended Sennheiser. When I saw these were on sale I had to pull the trigger. Definitely worth every penny. I've been able to hear sounds and depth in tv shows and music that just wasn't there with my old headphones and earbuds. Do your ears a favor and get a pair of these!
