I bought the HD280 Pro headphones after reading many good reviews, and I am happy to say they are even better than I expected. The sound is so clean and balanced that I'm hearing many new subtleties in songs I listen to all the time. While they are not bass-focused, the bass is substantial and blends very well with other frequencies. Other headphones over-emphasize bass frequencies, muddying and distorting the sound; these reproduce a strong, clean bass. My other main consideration was comfort. The ear cushions are very comfortable, and the headband has good padding. Together with the light weight, they should be comfortable for long periods of time. The cord is very long (it's coiled) and a fairly heavy gauge. It would be nice if it could detach, but that's a minor issue. It can be replaced, if necessary, which is good to know. It also came with a useful 1/4" adapter. Great headphones! Definitely worth the money.

I got these headphones to replace another pair of Sennheiser headphones which were not nearly as good. These are much better sounding and better designed. The old ones were HD 465. They had problems with the midrange. These are better balanced and much more comfortable.

Bought these for under $100 (regular price, not on sale!) and couldn't be happier. Great sound and the ability to tweak settings for precise response. I would highly recommend these to anyone looking for a great pair of entry level over the ear headphones.

These are way better than their price would indicate. Especially for the work we do in the studio. Mixing and recording. Way better than many higher priced models.

I use these to practice guitar in a family room where others are in and out or even watching TV. These headphones do a great job of keeping the guitar in focus and mostly cancelling the kids.

Have had several headphones. This unit very good at price point. Have not used it on a plane yet so can't comment on sound quality in that kind of environment.

These have good sound quality but after wearing for awhile my ears begin to feel hot. They start to feel heavy. They did work while on recent flight to help block out other nois.

I purchased these headphones for my teenaged son to replace his Dr. Dre Headphones. He really likes the sound quality but says they are not as comfortable as the other set.

Listened to several other brands before purchasing. These have great highs and lows. Others seemed to favor the bass. Enjoying using them!
