    Most obnoxious headphones

The most obnoxious headphones I've ever used. If you ever want to use these for video calls, STAY AWAY. I use them on a Mac and have issues with every video call platform I use (meet, zoom, chime, etc...). It randomly mutes your microphone for no reason, and nobody can hear you. When I do video calls I have to just use my MacBook microphone for people to hear me. Restarting everything can make them come back for a little bit but as soon as they get nudged off your ear an inch your microphone starts acting up. I followed all of these suggestions on reddit and other forums trying to get it to stop acting up and it will work for a little bit and then literally mid-conversation my mic will just mute and people tell me they can hear me no more. The sound is all right, the sound canceling is all right, but for me they're completely worthless and if I could go back and buy the Sony's instead I would.

The overall quality of this headset is really bad. I bought it in late2022 and after 1 year, it broke down. I can’t even start it. With the warranty, I got a new one. The new one starts to create extreme noise on the right side after one month. In this month, I did not even use it for 10 times

Best sounding wireless headphone in years

This review is written from the perspective of a studio and live sound engineer. I love these headphones so much. These are the best pair of headphones I've personally had since the Skullcandy Crusher Wireless. I know it's a stretch to compare these two headphones but hear me out. Back in 2018 when I bought my Crushers, it was one of the only set that had everything that I wanted: A relaxed sound, a realitvly rasied sub-bass level without raising the bass or lower mids, and a long battery life that would truly allow me to charge it 1 time a week. These headphones for me did that. Another thing that was a plus for me was physical controls in a simple interface (which is one of my gripes with the Sennheisers). To get to the Sennheiser, there are many things that have an elevated evolution of those headphones with some benefits for me. These headphones have a more extended but still maintain the smooth and relaxed sound that I can to love about the crushers. The next thing that I love about the bass of these headphones is amazing. This is the first recent headphone that I have found that I like. Many headphones today don't have enough sub-bass and just have a lot of bass that muddy's up everything and almost forces me to go for a more extreme V curve to reclaim the detail and scale that I want. The ability for these headphones to go down to 19Hz (from my ears' capability) is something that I haven't heard from others. Songs like Positions by Ariana Grande and Jill by Trey Songs; these are both songs that approach the 20Hz mark strongly and this headphone lets you hear without destroying the rest of your sound. In my opinion, you won't find headphones that make music sound this good with a battery and wireless. Being a headphone from a company that makes some of the most popular wired headphones, they didn't forget about that one either. These headphones act just like any wired headphone when you use the 2.5-3.5mm cable. I use them as my monitoring headphones, cue headphones, and mix-checking headphones, whenever I am working, they are that good. Now on the topic of controls, most of the controls are easy to use, they are touch controls which usually don't have false touches when adjusting them. The usual commands that I use with the headphones are the same that I would use with the classic three-button interface, with the addition of controls for noise control. When they work they work 99% of the time, there are a few times when it doesn't connect correctly to my device and the controls don't work, but I experienced the same thing with my AirPod Pros Gen 1, so it wasn't a deal breaker (but can be annoying). The noise-canceling is pretty good on these, they do a good job of canceling a fair bit of all noise around you, I will say it does have that airplane effect on my ears personally. I know some others have had different experiences, but that's something I felt. At the same time, I always have that feeling with any headphones with active noise canceling, so I don't count that against the headphones at all. The sound transparency is pretty okay, it does feel like there is a -6dB plug in my ear all the time. It doesn't quite get sounds to the same volume but placement and character are always accurate to the source, which is more important to me. To sum it all up, if you are looking for an amazing-sounding headphone, with amazing battery life, with pretty good noise-canceling, and want to try something outside of Bose, Sony, Beats, or JBL, I don't think you will be disappointed at all.

after just over a year the headphones will no longer consistently turn on and off, and may not even produce any sound at all. THIS IS INSANE FOR $400 HEADPHONES. DO NOT buy any sennheiser products that require any kind of firmware they will dissapoint

This headphone is awesome, worthy of the Sennheiser big name. It looks and feels premium, the sound quality is great and it offers a lot of features with notable improvement over the previous generation of the headphone. It competes really well with other top of the line headphones out there. First things first. I like the functional over the ear design. It looks elegant with the Sennheiser logo adorning the headphones. The padded foam feels okay. The headband is made of fabric and silicon padding and they’re okay. I actually prefer fabric for the headband because leather will visibly deteriorate over the years. The headphone is just a little bit heavier than some of the premium headphones out there, however, you can still wear the headphones comfortably even for hours. If you have concerns about comfortability or planning to use the headphone for long hours, it would be best to try the headphone yourself in a store. The headphone comes with a case as you would expect when buying a headphone at this price range. The case quality is good and it is stiff so your headphone would be safely stored when you bring the headphone for commuting or traveling. This is important because I had personal experience of having one of my headphones stop working properly due to improper storing when traveling. The headphone lays flat inside the case, and it fits nicely with all the necessary cables and travel adapter. One of the best features of the headphones is the very long battery life, rated at 60 hours and is much more than many other headphones out there. Even when ANC turned on, the headphone has very good battery life. Full charging takes about two hours. With the Bluetooth 5.2 protocols, the headphone can connect to two devices at the same time, which is nice because sometimes you would bring two devices in your backpack say a tablet and phone when traveling. The audio codec can support APTX and APTX Adaptive when using android devices. Aside of Bluetooth connection, you can connect the headphones through 2.5 mm audio jack and USB-C, they are both great options especially when you plan to use a DAC/AMP for a more tailored audio experience. For most users, Bluetooth connection should be adequate. The headphone uses touchpad controls, which works well. Music will stop when you put off the headphone and will resume as you wear the headphone back. ANC blocks out a great deal of noise, I have not tested the headphone inside an airplane, but it should work really well. Now onto the audio experience. Will it give you premium level audio experience? Yes. But here’s the problem, sound quality is very subjective especially if you are a discerning audio enthusiast or an audiophile. The bass and mids are there, instruments separation is discernible and the soundstage is wide. The sound signature is balanced, like studio headphones and there is a mobile app through which you can control the EQ as well as the ANC and other features. The headphone can chew many different genres. I would have liked the headphone more if the maximum volume is a little bit louder. Microphone works well and your voice would sound clear and natural for a headphone that does not have boom mic, which is great when you are using the headphone for video conference. Overall, this is a great offering from Sennheiser.

So I never leave reviews. Ever. But these headphones are just so good, that if I can convince just one person on the fence to buy these things. That is at least one life changed for me. Sennhesier knows what they are doing here. The sound quality is unmatched in my opinion compared to the other headphones in this price range. I bought these and the xm5 at the same time and kept these. I also own the AirPods Max and while they are nice and connect with my devices seamlessly 100% of the time. I'd still rather use these headphones. The battery life is absolutely amazing. They last so long that 90% of the time when I charge them, is when I feel like it's been well over a week and I feel bad for the headphones that I didn't charge them. I have not had these things die once on me while owning them. The comfortability of these headphones at least to me are second to none. They are super light weight and the padding is nice. I can wear these for 8 hours and barely even notice the weight on my dome piece. The only downfall for these headphones, is the ANC is kinda straight garbage. Or there's a chance im stupid and can't really figure out the setting, Even when I switch it to transparent it sounds almost like the full ANC mode. Other than that, these are completely worth their full msrp. When they are on sale? Buy them stupid what ya doin??
