These headphones are not usually the first ones you see in a list of ANC over the ear, headphones, but I would put them up against the leading competition any day. The sound is crisp, and the app allows you to adjust the equalizer to your liking. While I would not say the noise cancellation is as good as other leading brands, for my purposes it worked fine. These are definitely a headphones worth checking out.

The Sennheiser Momentum 4s are hands-down my favorite headphones on the market. The sound quality is excellent—rich, balanced, and detailed—making them a joy to listen to whether it’s music, movies, or podcasts. They support aptX for higher-quality wireless audio and come with a well-designed companion app for both iOS and Android, giving you plenty of customization options. Connectivity is flexible too: you can use them wired via USB-C or with the included 2.5mm-to-3.5mm cable. (I docked one star for the non-standard 2.5mm jack, since I would have preferred a traditional 3.5mm.) I also love the touch controls—they make it easy to adjust volume, skip tracks, or pause/play without fumbling with buttons. If you’re a fan of Sony’s XM series, there’s a good chance you’ll love these as well. The Momentum 4s deliver a premium mix of comfort, features, and superb sound quality.

Sound staging was good. Multi connectivity could have been better, and the touch controls are not up to the mark

I am disappointed with the Bluetooth connectivity with this headset. The pairing often drops, the connection will disconnect suddenly and the headphones are no longer visible on my device list. This requires a repairing each time. This is happening daily. Also, music pauses when you turn your head, voice prompts will advise “disconnected” yet music still plays. I also don’t like the ear cups can’t fold up, just inward. This makes them bulky and hard to store in a bag or seat back pocket. Headphones don’t auto shut off either, despite being a feature in the connection app. Overall I’m going to return these and stick to my QC Ultras. I bought these to rotate usages believing Steinhauser equates to German quality and it appears that is a misnomer. Sound quality is good, However with unstable connection there is no point.

I’ve had this a little less then a year that sound great except just recently there a buzzing that happens at mid volume level for treble, otherwise the bass sounds clean and it has great clarity. It’s also very comfortable for many hours

I have now owned both these and the Sony XM5’s and I can confidently say that the Sennheisers won me over in nearly every category. Specifically I care most about sound quality, which so far sennheiser is best at. The noise cancelling has gotten better with the updates over the years, but it’s still nothing near Sony’s. Otherwise, unless you ONLY care about ANC, get these.

Ive tried a lot of the current popular headphones and these are such an easy choice. Sound quality is amazing. Excellent bass. Super clear voice. Noise cancelation is superb. The battery lasts. The app has quite a few features. Would by these headphones every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

    The Audiophile’s Quiet Luxury

If headphones were fashion, the Momentum 4 would be the cashmere sweater of the audio world—soft, understated, and quietly flexing on the competition. Sound Quality Sennheiser didn’t come to play. These cans deliver a crisp, neutral sound that’s so clean, it could pass a hygiene inspection. Highs sparkle, mids are lush, and the bass? It’s got just enough thump to make your playlist feel like it’s been doing squats. Not too boomy, not too shy—Goldilocks would approve. Noise Cancellation The ANC is solid, though not quite Bose-level sorcery. It’s more “mute the chaos” than “erase reality,” but it adapts smartly to your environment. Great for flights, commutes, or ignoring your neighbor’s reggaeton at 7 a.m. Battery Life 60 hours. Yes, six-zero. That’s two and a half days of uninterrupted listening. You could fly around the world twice, binge every Taylor Swift album, and still have juice left to ignore your inbox. Smart Features The Smart Control app lets you EQ your sound like a DJ with commitment issues. Want more bass? Done. Prefer a flatter response? Easy. It even has “Sound Zones” that adjust settings based on your location—like a sonic butler who knows when you're at the gym or sulking in bed. Design Gone is the vintage aviator chic of the Momentum 3. The Momentum 4 plays it safe with a minimalist look that whispers “I’m expensive” without screaming it. It’s sleek, but some fans miss the old-school swagger. Think: tech bro in a turtleneck instead of a leather jacket. Comfort & Portability Lightweight, plush, and built for marathon listening. The ear cups are like memory foam pillows for your ears. They don’t fold into themselves, but they do swivel flat—perfect for travel or dramatic headphone removal during Zoom calls. Verdict The Sennheiser Momentum 4 is the headphone equivalent of a luxury sedan: smooth, powerful, and built to last. It may not win every category outright, but it’s a top-tier all-rounder with stamina, style, and sonic finesse. If you want premium sound without the drama, this is your ride.

I've been using Bose, Sony, Apple, and all the supposed best-sounding sets around. This beats all of them, seriously. I've only used Sennheiser in the studio, so I expected these to be good but not for everyday use. My goodness, these are the best-sounding daily drivers I've ever heard. Seriously - bass, mid, high-end are all clear and powerful when they need to be. I chose to disable Bass Boost because it was (surprisingly, and for the first time in a long while) too much. With it disabled, the bass is great and exactly what I need for hip-hop, etc. Pop, classical, country... This set does it all for me. The Android software takes a bit to get used to, but it does what it advertises. Turn on High Resolution Audio mode, for real. I am very impressed.

I’m a big fan of Sennheiser earbuds I own the Momentum 4’s! Which is why I don’t understand why the ANC is so bad! They sound great and are very comfortable, look great I purchased the denim version and including an 3/8 audio cable is a big plus! So I returned as I finally took them out on a lunch outing and could not isolate myself from the normal conversation from patrons sitting at next table, so don’t know if this a defect or bad batch?

I really like these headphones overall. The sound quality is where they shine — it’s detailed and revealing in a way most wireless cans aren’t. I’m hearing subtle elements in tracks I’ve been listening to for years (mouth noises, faint percussion, reverb tails, background layers) that I never noticed before. If immersive music playback is your priority, they deliver. Noise canceling is decent but not class-leading. It definitely reduces baseline ambient noise (fans, air conditioning, chatter), but it doesn’t block sound nearly as effectively as AirPods Pro (2/3). Planes, buses, and loud city streets still bleed in more than I’d like. Build quality feels a bit of a letdown given the price. The plastics don’t feel premium under the fingers — more “lightweight budget” than “solid high-end.” That doesn’t make them fragile, but it’s not what I expected from Sennheiser at this price point. Comfort is good for long sessions — pads are soft and breathable, and clamping force is reasonable. Battery life is excellent (multiple days of typical use), and the app gives useful EQ / settings control without being cluttered.

Quality built headphones. Had some connectivity issues, when first using them. The app helped stabilize it after changing a few settings. The earcups are very soft and comfy. ANC works great on airplane rides and other public transport.

I had both these, and a pair of Sony XM5’s and i gotta say that the Sennheisers won my over. The bass is more rich and the over all sound profile is detailed. Not to mention the battery life is outstanding. They also improved the stability of bluetooth from the previous generation.
