Although I found a couple of drawbacks to these headphones, for the most part they work really well and the added heart rate and temperature sensors seals the deal for being really good workout headphones. Setup is painless as usual. The Smart Control app walks you through the setup process fairly quickly (updating the firmware is a lengthy process, though). Once you're set up you have a lot of options to play with in the app to tweak things to your liking. You can have the earbuds automatically test their fit so you can see if you should use a different tip for your ears. The already installed one felt fine for me. They also include 4 sets of wings you can install if you prefer those or need them to help keep the earbuds in your ear. I found even the smallest ones fairly uncomfortable and I didn't have any issues with the buds staying in my ear without them. My favorite part of the setup process was not being forced to create an account just to use the app. I thought the headphones sounded pretty good. Probably not the best earbuds I've ever heard but they have a good sound. I liked it a little more with bass boost enabled. I didn't think it was crazy overpowered bass even with it enabled so I'll probably end up leaving it on. You have custom EQ settings you can adjust to get the sound the way you like it. These headphones also do have a more advanced audio codec that enhances the sound pretty substantially at the cost of some potential connection issues. I didn't notice many connection issues, but it is warned about in the app when you enable it. The ambient modes work pretty well. There's a setting to set how loud your want transparency mode which is pretty nice. Although, I found transparency mode still got drown out by what I was listening to quite a bit even at it's highest setting. Active noise canceling works well. It did a good job at canceling out a lot of the noise around me (including my kids, to some degree, which is an accomplishment). Lastly, I've always worn a chest strap head rate monitor to the gym because my watch just doesn't do a great job while I'm lifting. Having a heart rate monitor and temperature monitor built in to the earbuds I'm already planning on wearing is pretty awesome. One small downside I found was the inaccuracy with tapping on the earbuds to control them. There is no single tap interaction so everything is either two or three taps (or a hold) and it felt very inconsistent with detecting three taps for me. So I found myself pausing my music when I wanted to turn on Passive mode or something a lot. The only other real downside was the uncomfortable wings but that's probably more of an issue with my ears. If you're looking for a pair of earbuds for the gym, I think these are pretty close to perfect. If you're not going to be using them for the heart rate monitor and such, you can probably shop around a little more but these are still nice sounding and comfortable earbuds that might be what you're looking for anyways.

Considering I have several headphones in here over the ear open ear, I decided to get these because of some of the functionality. The heart rate function and temperature is pretty cool but most of the time I don’t use it unless I’m going on a run outside I’m really hot and I’ll take my phone. it tends to drain the battery a bit but overall it’ll last for significantly all work out. I don’t know about a marathon. The sound quality is not going to be the greatest compared to some other headphones and I think they are relatively overpriced. The Sennheiser momentum fours sound much better and have more functionality however I use these specifically for the gym which the noise canceling is great, and I don’t have to turn the volume up as loud. Overall, I would say 4 1/2 stars and I do recommend them, but they are significantly overpriced. I think the price point of around 250 would be a value amount in the heart rate and temperature sensing is not necessary.

Struggle with earbuds staying in my ears, so bought those thinking these would be right for me. With the different size eartips and wings, fit was great and comfortable. The actual temperature and heart monitor was not something I bought them for, and was pleased that the app had an eco boost setting to turn that feature off and in turn extended the battery life. Sound was great. However, I did end up returning these because they made a soft clicking sounds whenever the wind reduction or ANC mode was on. It was not noticeable while playing music, but when I had music on pause it was bothersome. Tried reinstalling the app, and tried doing a factory reset but did not help. Surprising, changing the eartips from medium to small made a significant difference in reusing the clicking sound, although having the temperature and heart monitor on or off did not make any difference. After troubleshooting, I just could not get that clicking sound to stop.

Good headphones, great sound and ANC is solid for the gym. Really need to get the right earwing so that your ears dont hurt. Usually takes about 1.5 hrs for fatigue.

Fit well. Sound is great. They occasionally crackle for some reason, but sound quality is superb. I wear them all the time for lifting, yard, all sorts of stuff when it’s need to be active but want music or need to communicate.

It's not a bad product at all in fact the sound is exceptional. However, depending on your type of ears you might find these somewhat uncomfortable. The biggest downfall to this product is the case which opens easily and stops charging the headset. As far as the temperature detection of your body, I thought it was interesting but I had no Real use for it.

Sound was amazing, but just like everyone says, the build quality leaves much to be desired. I personally had issues with the add on wing tips as they did not stay in place, even when trying other sizes (I generally use small ear tips/wing tips). This would be fine if I weren’t trying to be active with them. Would still recommend for normal listening use.

Wanted to love them but the product slowly failed. Went from clear audio, then speaker had a peak sound issue ( ear bud speaker would pop then no sound temporarily then return with paper bag noise) after chalking it up to a break in period i had to take them back. Great Fit tho. Just failed sound.

I own the Momentum 3's which I love. But I have problems getting them to fit in my left ear snuggly which made them awkward to use at the gym. The sport which has a higher fin fit perfectly with no movement at all. I went to the gym three times this week and didn't have to adjust them at all. So for the gym, it's the sports for everything else it's the 3's.

Great buds for working out or just general use. Balanced sound with great bass not over powering the rest of the sound. ANC is very good and the heart rate and body feature are useful. I would highly recommend these buds.

The Momentum Sport are fitness focused earbuds. They fit well in my ears and include 3 different sizes of earfins to help them stay secure. The fins are a rubber material that can be changed out easily. They stay firmly in place for workouts, and are also dust and sweat resistant so I can also use them for mowing the yard. Sennheiser is known for its audiophile sound and for what they are, the sound quality here is excellent. I have been using them for listening to music as well as taking calls at work. I’ve seen some other reviews mention that they are bass heavy, but I don’t find that to be the case at all. Perhaps the latest firmware update has remedied that. Either way, the Smart Control app allows you to adjust the sound with an equalizer and a bass boost mode. The ANC works well enough to reduce most noises like fans, A/Cs, etc but you will still hear louder noises which could be an issue if you wanted to listen to a book on a plane. Out of the box they will need a firmware update so make sure you download the Sennheiser Smart Control app and let that happen. It takes about 20 minutes, but I was able to listen to music while they updated until they needed to restart which only took a few minutes. Battery life is good enough for a half day or so without sticking them back in the case. They do charge quickly and you should be able to get through a whole day without recharging the case. The case supports USB-C charging or wireless Qi, a welcome feature. However, I do not like that the case is so large. Even with the room needed to accommodate the fins there is a lot “dead space” inside the case. The hinge for the lid to the case is also made of rubber and seems flimsy. Closing the case is not satisfying, as the magnet is very weak and it doesn’t always close flush, meaning dust or water could easily get in. The buds feature both touch (physically touching the earbuds) and “tap” (touching your cheek) to control play/pause, next track, answer/end calls, and to toggle ANC/anti-wind/transparency options. All of these controls require at the least a double or triple tap/touch on either the left or right. The controls are customizable but only to a certain extent. There is no option to single touch or tap. I really don’t care for the tap controls, where you touch your face, they are either too sensitive where you will accidentally do things or not sensitive enough where you are tapping the side of your face continually and nothing happens. I’d rather just turn them off, but unfortunately, Sennheiser doesn't provide that option. You can only turn off the touch controls, or all controls entirely. You can lower or raise the volume by touching and holding on the left and right buds respectively. In addition, these buds also support monitoring your heart rate and temperature. I use an Apple Watch typically which does heart rate but not temperature, so this a pretty cool feature. The heart rate readings between the earbuds and my watch are very close if not always the same. If I had to guess, the Sennheisers are probably more accurate since they sit firmly in your ear, but I cannot confirm this. You can sync the buds with the Polar Flow app which allows you to track the heartrate and temperature data while exercising. The Flow app in turn can keep other apps up to date such as Apple Health, which is what I use. Pros: - Excellent Sennheiser Sound - ANC / Transparency Modes - Earfins are flexible, more comfortable than plastic - Qi Wireless Charging - Temperature and Heartrate Sensors - Dust and Sweat Resistant Cons: - Large Case with flimsy rubber hinge - Can’t turn off “Tap” controls. Overall, these are very good wireless earbuds with only a few minor annoyances. They have great sound quality, comfort, and feature advanced features for tracking vitals for active users. However, just a tip, if you do not need the fitness features you might look at Sennheiser’s True Wireless buds.

The controls are confusing. The earbuds kept turning on and off when I was holding them, and some of the controls didn't even work when I wanted them to, especially the volume control. These earbuds are overpriced, the sound is mediocre at best, and my old $80 Senheiser earbuds are way better than this. This product is disappointing Sennheiser should have done better
