This product is perfect for use with a non smart tv as it uses RF technology rather than blue tooth which is only compatible with newer tvs. Great value for the price, comfortable and high quality sound with lots of base

Great headphones. My husband puts the headphones on and I can turn the tv down and get some relief! He used to have the tv on so loud that you could hear it outside. Great reception and no static.

My wife is somewhat hearing impaired so she needs the tv sound up high. With these head phones she is able to enjoy the tv while I am able to listen at a much lower level. The headphones provide excellent sound quality. The only drawback is that they are a little heavy if you wear them for an extended period of time.

It was difficult to watch tv with my husband because sound was so loud. Now he can hear and I'm not deafened by the sound!

I looked at many reviews specific to headphones used for TV with a hearing loss. I have trouble hearing movies on DVD and had to have the volume up almost to maximum. The Sennheiser RS165 headphones were easy to install and have great sound quality. I did find, however, when the TV volume is on a normal volume in the room, the headphone sound has feedback and not the same quality as with the TV on a lower volume. This many cause a problem if someone is listening to the TV while the headphones are in use.

Tried Bluetooth wireless headphones with DISH Hopper, but the headphones would not retain their pairing. DISH advised this is a common problem between wireless headphones and the Hopper. We were told by a Best Buy competitor to try headphones with a dedicated transmitter that is wired to the Hopper. Sennheiser offered this setup, and it has worked very well. As a mild criticism, the Geek Squad and sales staff at our local Best Buy store did not seem to be aware of the problem between Bluetooth wireless and DISH's Hopper. We had previously purchased Sony headphones with Bluetooth at Best Buy, and were assured the Sony headphones would work with the Hopper. When we told the Best Buy staff of the competitor's suggestion, they expressed doubt that the Sennheiser headphones were the solution to our problem. We went ahead and traded the Sony headphones for the Sennheiser headphones. The competitor's suggestion for Sennheiser headphones did solve the problem.

I bought these for my husband for his birthday because he turned the tv volume up too loud . He has used them daily since. I tried them myself and found the smallest sounds come alive and actually able to hear every word .

My husband is hearing impaired, refuses to get hearing aids, his answer is to up the volume, these headphones saved the day and work like a dream. I could not live without them and neither can he, they made all the difference.

I purchased mine and bought one as a gift for my son. We both feel the earphones have provided convenient service.

Happy with the sound produced by the headset. Fairly easy set-up, after a call to Sennheiser for info, needed a connector that was not provided.
