Very Good Headset
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this headset. The sound quality is very good. I used to use them daily when I went to the gym and the blocked out the noise. I especially like the fact that it doesn’t use batteries. I previously had a Bose but I was constantly having to change batteries.

great headset for the price
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a pair of these for 2 years and flew all over the world with them. Was so mad I lost them. So they were on sale for Christmas and I noticed new models from all the manufacturers. There is even a new version of these the PXC 550 II. Well after trying the new $400 Sony, Sennheisers, and Bose. I went back to these. The new Sennheisers were the same but changed some minor features. The higher end Momentum 3's were too expensive. I didn't like having to hold my hand over the right earmuff to turn on the external mics. In the end it was the total package that I really liked about these over all of them. So I got a new pair for $200.

I wanted to love these
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I work from home and depend on noise cancelling headphones to block out the kids while I’m working... I was excited to hear that these headphones had a pass through feature that would allow outside noise to come through in the event that someone needed to talk to me without taking the headphones off but in practice the finicky touch controls made this difficult to gracefully pull off. I ended up having to tell people to wait a second for the touch controls to work properly or just take the headphones off to have a conversation. They did have great quality sound but again when it came to adjusting the volume (also touch controlled) it was hit or miss with these. Ended up returning them for the Bose Noise Cancelling 700s which have a physical pass through button.

The best audio quality
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Noice canceling is ok, not as good as Bosse or latest Sony, but it is ok. The pPxc550 excel at sound quality both listening and when making phone calls. Very sophisticated app for equalization on iOS that connects to iTunes. Allows for Bluetooth, audio cable and usb audio connectivity!!

I love this headphones but...
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It pushes against my head so hard. And I didn't like the feel of the noise cancellation, it makes me feel uncomfortable. Though I was really impressed with the sound quality and the touch gestures.

Great sound and battery life
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this set over the Sony MDR 1000's and BOSE QC 35's. So far I'm not disappointed. However I wouldn't buy another Bose headset because of the known defect they have, which Bose ignores.

Best of both worlds
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the Sony MDR-1000X & B&W PX to test out and this Sennheiser falls right in the middle of both. These have the features of the Sony's and sound of the B&W's. These does not have the feature where you place your hand over the right ear cup in order to hear the ambient sound. IMO, I don't really like that feature from Sony. After a while, you kind of look silly cupping your right ear cup when needing to hear the sound around you. I'd rather just take them off. These Sennheisers have the ability to pause/play music when you take them off/on your head. There are sensors inside that could detect when they are over your ears. I also like the fact that you are able to raise the volume incrementally instead of constantly swiping up/down to raise/lower the volume like the Sony's.

Pricey but above averagesound
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not sure I like how to turn them on- need to flip phones to turn off/ on. Wear and tear could take its toll causing replacement. I like the volume control on the ear up Very comfortable- can wear for long periods

Better ability to focus on your game!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These headphones are great for multiplayer or tournament settings where surrounding noise is a distraction. The noise canceling makes a world of difference when micro seconds count in a gaming match and the sound quality is top notch.

6 month review - Frustrating issues
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good: 1. Awesome sound quality for music; 2. Good on voice calls; 3. ANC is ok; Does provide some isolation; 4. Multiple connectivity options (USB, 3.5 mm, Bluetooth). There is also a 2-pin aircraft plugin for travel; 5. No latency observed in BT mode; 6. Earcups are great for long use; 7. Folding mechanism is good for storage; 8. Switch on / off mechanism is novel and works; 9. Good looks Bad: 1. Serious disconnection issues; Need to restart the headphones several times to get it connected; Sometimes, have to restart the PC itself; 2. Disconnection happens even in wired mode (both 3.5 and BT modes); This is really strange. Why should a wired connection stop working midway? In this respect, even cheap earphones don't have such issues; 3. Of late, the disconnection frequency has increased and is happening during each and every call / meeting. It has become embarassing in front of colleagues / Clients; 4. The problem happens even though I hear the connection messages clearly (phone 1 connected; phone 2 connected); but the sound doesn't play; 5. Initially, it was able to switch from phone 2 (PC) to phone 1 (mobile) easily when a call came in. Switching back to the PC was a hit or miss. Restarting would usually solve the issue; 6. The above doesn't work any longer. The interruption by the mobile call (BT) works; switching back to the PC (BT or even wired) is almost impossible even after multiple restarts; 7. My phone has stopped connecting to this headset (BT) for the last couple of days; 8. The PC connection is a hit or miss; I even changed my laptop - same issues persist; Overall, my dissatisfaction with the connectivity has grown over time. But for this issue, I would have rated this headset highly.

Superior headset
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At first I didn't think this headset was up to the task of noise cancelling since I was looking at beats for a while. When I put them on, all I can say is wow. The clarity of the sound was crisp. The noise cancelling feature was amazing.

Sounds phenomenal
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not sure what to expect as its a respected brand but not overhyped as some are; the features (touch surface volume and advancing for example) work well and most importantly the noice cancelling is excellent as is the sound quality.
