Excellent headphones, clear and crisp with either base or surround. Easy to hook up and love the battery charge up base. Worth paying a little more to know that you bought a quality headphone. There are other headphones that seems good for a lesser price but don’t know if it is as good as they say. Although I paid more, I’m sure that this headset that I purchased is one of the best..

Bought these headphones because our new TV didn’t have Bluetooth (I know, shame on me for not checking first). They were a little expensive, but the quality is there. Sound is great. Very comfortable and light. Controls are easy to manipulate while wearing. Over the ear blocks out the majority of background noise. Highly recommend.

Good quality materials. Works great and comfortable to wear. It was a little difficult to complete the hook up. Very happy with the purchase.

Please bear in mind I have moderate hearing loss. That being said this head set is the most comfortable headset I have ever purchased. It is light weight and not a hard squeeze to my ears. That being said they do have a major flaw in them. For what ever reason they seem to fall out of sync as once in a while you will suddenly get nothing but noise like the old tv's would give you when you flipped to a channel that did not have a station. It is quickly remedied by either turning off the head set and then back on or depending on what you are doing switching the station. I want to give them a 5 star but to me that one detail is not easy to just brush off at $200.

These headphones are much better than the Sony ones I was using before. These are more comfortable than the Sony they fit snug and the sound quality is very good. The only bad feature is the instructions on how to set it up.

Firstly I want to say once ordered this Sennheiser arrived quickly! These are simply the best on the market! The sound quality is absolutely superior for the entire audio spectrum. Very comfortable to wear! These headphones are well worth the price! For a fiber optic connection the audio output for the TV must be set to PCM mode. Best Buy is the place to purchase them!

This Headset was a gift. To someone close to me. She loves it. It has made Her music and TV much more enjoyable.

They are very comfortable to wear and work great. Controls are easy to access while wearing. Battery lasts for a few movies.

These are everything I expect from Sennheiser. I have had several of their hi-end over the ear headphones in the past and continue to use them with my stereo system. This brand was the first I went for when looking for a wireless set for my wife to use with the TV. The sound is amazing (of course) the wireless connection is perfect with no lag and they are fairly light. Not the lightest I tried, but this is to be expected because they have larger magnets in the speakers. First rate quality of materials and workmanship. LOVE THEM! (note: I bought the open box and saved a ton)

Overall good investment. Comfortable to wear. Sound is clear. Very helpful for those who need a hearing adjunct. Only sight issue might be that the volume adjuster buttons are difficult to feel when wearing headphone

I did not hear a lot of distortion with these earphones. Ergonomically the volume control consists of two buttons (- and +) that are placed below a bass boost button and a 3 position surround button. It is hard to hit the intended button to control volume. The bass boost is controlled by one pushbutton, and it is either on or off. The bass boost is too much bass in a movie with a low frequency drone as in some science fiction movies. The low surround sound option is pretty good, but for some content such as symphonic music or opera one might prefer the stereo position instead of surround sound. The high surround sound option is way too much echo for my taste and I don't use that setting. The surround sound off position produces the best audio. It would have been better to have a dial with a continuous choice of surround sound separtions. Similarly for the bass boost. The range of the headphones is not as great as the specs claim. They also cut out in the kitchen with the microwave on. I did find less audio distortion than in my old Sony MDR-DS6500 surround sound headphones. (The old Sony phones may have deterioated and distortion increased with age.) How good is the RS 175 sound? The stereo is not as good as high end Sennheiser HD 650's. Had the Sennheiser RS 175's had rotary or dial controls instead of push buttons, I might have given 5 stars. I am satisfied with the improvement over the old Sonys.

This is the second time we have purchased these for husband who has a significant hearing loss. He wears them everytime he watches TV and would not buy another other brand....period! Sound quality is amazing, comfort is just right and they work even when he leaves his chair for kitchen comforts. He is definitely spoiled and now talking about some for the bedroom.

These were a replacement for the same set, purchased March 22, 2017. They are a great addition to allow a senior citizen with hearing loss to be able to hear the TV, without blasting everyone else in the room! :-) The rechargeable feature is great. Simply sit the headphones on the transmitter/base and charge them overnight. Nothing to plug in to the headset. The sound quality is very good. There is some adjustment that can be made to modify the sound (i.e., pre-set equalizer/boost settings and surround sound). I wish I could have deducted 1/4 star. For the money spent, the ear pieces did not last as long on the previous set as I thought they should (although they were used almost daily). The batteries (AAA Ni-MH) lost functionality and would not hold a charge after about 4 years. Maybe that is expecting too much. After additional research, there are replacement ear covers available for around $25, as well as the batteries can be replaced with over-the-counter rechargeable AAA-NiMH for around $10.

THE BEST!! This set of headphones has changed my and my mother's life! Although she is hearing impaired, we can finally watch a movie together without blasting the TV volume! Beware of other cheaper brands, only Sennheiser allows for multi viewers to watch at the same time.

It was on sale for $175. A great value for headphone that outperform ones that cause twice as much. Bass is strong and deep without being muddle. Mid and high are clean and clear. I can wear it for over 3 hours without any discomfort. Battery life lasts a long time before you have to recharge it.

This Sennheiser RS175 was purchased because it was top rated for TV, RF connection, and had comfortable fitting earpads. The sound is outstanding. Latency is not an issue. Extremely easy to setup. The fake surround sound is really nice. Best Buy had a very competitive price. These are great for the TV and I have used them for PC output as well.

These are great headphones. Sound quality is pretty well. I bought these for my dad to watch tv at night without disturbing my mom while she sleeps. He told me he had an issue with them cutting off once or twice when the dock was connected via optical cable to the tv and that he connected them via AUX cable like his previous headphones and haven’t had the issue again. They are comfortable and have great range and charging time! I don’t have any complaints besides the large price and lack of Bluetooth connectivity. I wanted to get a Bluetooth transmitter and some Bose or Sony headphones for him so he could use them with the TV and also a phone or tablet, so he would have them for dual purposes...but I was skeptical about latency issues with the tv. I researched it for a while and got mixed reviews when it came to latency with Bluetooth headphones and video...so I just went with these that are made for TV connectivity. Overall great headphones, but also a high price. Not as amazing as I was expecting but they work fine.

Comfortable headset with clear audio quality. The controls on the side of the earset are a plus. You can also connect a spare headset to the tower and use them simultaneously. The controls are for each headset so each user can set the volume to their liking. Great purchase.

All I can is awesome!!! The voice on these headphones are so clear that you can have the volume way down and still hear every word, every note and every base beat. And when you feel like drowning out everything....It works just as well. No cords to worry about, it fits really well and comfortable. Great buy...

Where to start? Sound quality was way better than expected. Full range and captures subtle sounds (no I don’t know the technical terms). Used with tv for late night watching and wife sleeping. Already had sound bar on optical slot but an inexpensive optical splitter from Amazon took care of issue easily. Ear pieces more comfortable than most.
